Merged Due process in the US

All mistakes will be retroactively found prophetically right. The files will be corrected, the lies of old removed from the books and the histories; freedom will rain from the lush brown skies, citizenship will once more belong to the deserving, the greedy poor and their pathetic fallen fruit swept away. Just wait for it. What a time that will be, when the rest of us will all forget the misery, the bad times when life was complicated and full of big words. We will learn the lyrics and hold our hands over our hearts and salute the black and white and the blue line that guards the godly.
The new motto for the GOP:

We Loved Big Brother.

I can see Bukele and Musk hanging out together. Same outfits. If we could just find a little country Musk could buy, move there and be dictator.

I did some math.

On the plus side, it will take Trump 0.5 million flights to send "all the foreigners home" to their countries. El Salvador can't take us all.

We used to get some 60 million tourists every year. But they pay their ticket if they fly.

that's the math i really hope they don't do....

Stephen Miller claims on Fox News that returning the Maryland father who was wrongly deported to El Salvador would constitute a "kidnapping" and "invasion of El Salvador's sovereignty."

"He was not mistakenly sent to El Salvador," Miller lies. "This was the right person sent to the right place."

Will Miller be singing from the same hymn sheet as they get rid of him?

No, I'm not an American. I don't like people abusing asylum systems either. And I also don't like people ignoring court orders and thinking they can get away with it because nobody that matters will have sympathy for their victim.
The only people who abuse the asylum system are the politicians who use asylum seekers as scapegoats and thetrwfficking gangs the scapegoating allows room to exist in.

Garcia was an illegal resident in the US. If he's tried and found guilty of that, is it a misdemeanor? It is? Oh, that evil criminal! To Devil's Island with him!

Wait, did he get a court order preventing his deportation to El Salvador? He did? Oh, that still-evil criminal! He's misusing our beautiful laws!

So he's a double criminal. Shows you what kind of person he is, doesn't it, Herc. Herc?
Of course any sane system would have given Garcia full asylum shortly after he made himself known to the authorities and offered the same for his family if he was willing to pprovide info on the gang that were coercing him.

If his life was in SUCH danger, why did he wait till after he was busted for illegally working in the USA, almost a decade after coming here illegally, to FINALLY seek asylum?

Something doesn't add up.

Either he was in danger and simply can't get his ◊◊◊◊ together to apply for asylum, or he was NEVER in real danger but simply decided to make it up after he was busted, to avoid getting kicked out of the USA and sent home.

Even if he was in real danger, and simply couldn't get his ◊◊◊◊ together to finally seek asylum, he still came here illegally and still worked here illegally for years. Did he pay income tax? Or was he completely cash under the table?

This all matters to me as if we should make any special extra to bring him back from his homeland, or just ask nicely and give up if they say "nope".

If he did pay taxes, was a safe and good member of the community, then yeah let's make a special effort to try to bring him back. Good people who try their best deserve such treatment.
Do you really think that only people you approve of deserve human rights?

What is perverse is the effort that they have put into making sure that due process is bypassed at multiple levels.

Test run for dealing with other "undesirables".
There's a single line in "A Clockwork Orange" (the movie, at least) that I feel often gets overlooked. The motivation behind the aversion therapy tested on Alex was that the government needed to make room in the prisons so they could lock up dissidents and political enemies.

Hang on you mean he disrespected Trump and all the American nation by not wearing a collared shirt and tie?

People like the Haitians eating cats and dogs in Dayton are not going to go to any extreme lengths to get a better status. As soon as they have a social security number they go to work. If they go on to marry an American, the gov't made even that very hard. You have to leave the country and wait for months...or years.. to get back to your spouse with the green card. There is a sponsor system as well, for other relatives you want to bring. In any case, they do the least they can to get to work. Otherwise they soon have no income.

Dear SCOTUS Chief Justice Roberts: In the Oval today Trump & Cabinet defied your order, claimed you ruled 9-0 FOR them AND they all laughed while doing it. They're mocking you and the court. So why don't you just (a) clarify that your 9-0 was not for them but for DUE PROCESS; (b) change your order's language to "expedite" the return of Garcia not "facilitate; and (c) warn that the court shall not be defied without severe consequences...

a bunch of MAGA comments under it....Fox news stuff that the deported man is a "known criminal"
