Trump's Second Term

I dimly recall an episode of Star Trek where Captain Picard is replaced by an alien imposter who does increasingly insane things as an experiment to see how humans (and assorted aliens) respond to authority. He'd almost got the ship destroyed before they finally stood up to him. I have absolutely no idea why I'm thinking of that particular episode lately.

Babylon Five has even better parrells with what is going on now: the Vice President of the Earth Federation comes ot power by assianating the President, blames is on Aliens (literally in this case) and adapts a violently Anti Alien policy...where all the time he is being used and manipulstated by The Shadows, the big bads of the show, an alien race bent on conquering the Galaxy by elpoliting the weaknesses of other races.
he also suspends Individual rights, sets up a armed bunch of thugs called 'The Night Watch" to terroize and oppostion, and sets p a propaganda network to flood the airwaves.
The show actually predicted Fox News in one episode nearly a decade before Fox News happened.

Maybe, but that's super duper nerdy. Star Trek (at least the one with Picard in it) is mainstream now, for cool people.

DJT is an idiot, but here he might have s small point. There are good buys to be had if you can last out the chaos. But that is true of any Market downturn.

I tried Googling trump: “We’ll find out whether or not it was a safe election. And if it wasn’t, he’s got a big price to pay.”

I know he said it, I watched and heard him say it. But none of the news sites seem to have caught up. My question is, who is "he?" Who is the person trump is saying may have to pay a big price?

In my post with the bit of his rant from just before he mentions someone called Krebs

I assume he means Christopher Krebs head of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (Cisa) who Trump terminated just after the 2020 election for his "highly inaccurate" statement that the 2020 election was "the most secure in American history"
