Got to wonder if investors are grasping at straws, trying to find any hint (regardless of how flimsy the excuse) that somehow Trump is "doing good".

Delay in some tariffs, but others still in place. And as we have seen a while ago with Canada/Mexico, Trump is quite willing to freeze tariffs and reimpose them later.

They won't, of course. As near as I can tell, the plan (if you can call it that) is to create chaos and then fix the chaos by going back to the status quo and then demanding everyone declare Donald Trump a genius.

"In the meantime, there will be a 90-day pause in the reciprocal tariffs as these negotiations are ongoing and the tariff level will be brought down to a universal 10%." (White House just now)

So the 10% and the 90 day pause is universal but not for China.
