I find that analogy very confusing. Haven't they got it all the wrong way around?I liked this analogy from lana@beige.party on mastodon
This is supporting exactly what Trump thinks, that Europe got the 'better deal' because they sold the US a BMW for $700 and all the US sold them is a few Subway BMTs for $70. He only sees the money, and not the goods. If anything, I got the better part of that deal. I now have $630, plus a belly full of sandwiches.

Put himself down as 18 under par though.Neo-Nero off golfing instead of fiddling, par for the course.
The fun part is that he wrecked the economy on his way to take a three day weekend. The guy who complains that people don't work.
The fall of capitalism continues! Lock up your daughter! Lock up your wife! Lock up your back door and run for your life!
Unfortunately these dirty deeds are not going to be done dirt cheap.
It could be what they have to say, like the messaging from NASA about the stranded astronauts. They have to agree that it's all OK while saying what happened. Still not good but not as bad as it sounds
NASA is crediting President Donald Trump for spearheading the mission to bring back its stranded astronauts.
Bethany Stevens, a spokeswoman for the agency, spoke glowingly about the new administration's role.
'It would not have happened without President Trump's intervention,' she told Fox News Digital, adding that it was a 'huge win for the Trump administration.'
The extended space mission entered the political spotlight in January, when Trump said he told Elon Musk to 'go get' the astronauts who had been 'virtually abandoned' by the Biden administration.
Indeed, if your organisation lacks the staff to perform critical tasks when some are on leave, it's understaffedIt could be what they have to say, like the messaging from NASA about the stranded astronauts. They have to agree that it's all OK while saying what happened. NASA now has a DJT Politburo Political Officer as an assistant publicity officer. She was more than happy to tell the world it was only due to Donald Trump telling Elon to act that got them back safely on earth.
Standard staffing policy would assume that people will be on leave and be able to cover that.
That is all a lie. A normal NASA publicity officer would never lie like that.

Well they do need to take their shoes and socks off to count to four. And that's a terribly complicated process.Everyone gets at least 10% (barring Russia, Belarus & N Korea), or possibly they don't know the difference between a deficit & a surplus, after all counting is hard.. Apparently.
How much does Trump get for licencing his face and name for the card?![]()

They would need Johnson to let them introduce something. The speaker just shoves aside anything he doesn't like.I heard a good discussion last night where it was stated that the power to negotiate trade deals ultimately rests with congress and it has only been delegated to the president because typically that person isn't a moron and can be trusted to have America's interests at heart and listen to trade experts. But congress has the power to revoke that privilege and would only need the backing of a few repubs to do so. You can count on Rand Paul to be against the tariffs and I would bet there are at least a few others the dems could get to go along.
Someone needs to introduce something to take his keys to negotiate trade away from him. Like NOW!
Good point, I hadn't thought of thatThey would need Johnson to let them introduce something. The speaker just shoves aside anything he doesn't like.
Funny you should say that:I heard a good discussion last night where it was stated that the power to negotiate trade deals ultimately rests with congress and it has only been delegated to the president because typically that person isn't a moron and can be trusted to have America's interests at heart and listen to trade experts. Motion of no confidence, and get him removed. Like the Speaker before him. They would need Johnson to let them introduce something. The speaker just shoves aside anything he doesn't like.
Yep it's another beautiful day in La La Land! At this moment the Dow, S&P 500 and NASDAQ are all down about 2.5-2.8%. Investors really love those tariffs! The market has been open for 20 minutes and the DOW is already down another 1000 points.
