119. The Economist: "There are enormous conflicts of interest here, notes Don Moynihan of the Ford School of Public Policy in Michigan. After all, Mr Musk’s companies have faced probes from almost every federal regulator the billionaire is now gutting. Yet Professor Moynihan goes on to say that grift does not explain FOGE. Even with Mr Trump filming a free Tesla advert on the White House lawn; the commerce secretary tipping its stock on live tv; and people who vandalise Teslas threatened with deportation to El Salvador, Tesla’s market value has slumped."

120. Via X: "The message is that tariffs are tax cuts." (And war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength.)

121. Trump: "A GREAT job by Senator Markwayne Mullin on beating back Kristen Welker's, and the the Radical Left's Witch Hunt, on the never ending Signal story. They just don't stop - Over and over they go! Meet the Fake Press should instead explain how successful the attack was, and how Sleepy Joe Biden should have done it YEARS AGO. This story and narrative is so old and boring, but only used because we are having the most successful "First One Hundred Presidential Days" in the history of America, and they can't find anything else to talk about. The Fake News Media has the lowest Approval Ratings in history, and for good reason. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!"

Russia on friendlier terms is also good against China. Sanctions push Russia into cooperation with China (and North Korea). Russia and China together are the worst possibility.
Russia on friendlier terms with the US would be the best outcome for China, as Russia is essentially a vassal of China.

China has over 125 rescuers already at work in Myanmar. The USA, well...

On Friday, as some employees in Washington in U.S.A.I.D.’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance were preparing a response to the earthquake, they received agencywide layoff emails. Career diplomats working for U.S.A.I.D. and other employees had been bracing for layoffs for weeks; Trump political appointees in Washington had already fired most of the contractors working for the agency.

The employees who received layoff notices were told they should go home that afternoon. Some had been coordinating with aid missions in Bangkok and Manila, which handle disaster response in Asia.

Two of the employees in Washington had expected to move this winter to Yangon, in Myanmar, and to Bangkok to work as humanitarian assistance advisers out of the U.S. missions there. But those positions were cut. Had they not been, the two employees would have been on the ground to organize urgent responses to the earthquake.

Russia degrading itself in Ukraine and becoming China's vassal, Trump knowingly and willingly giving away American soft power (and making himself a vassal of China's vassal). The big winner from all of this is quite clear IMO and they haven't really had to do that much, just let the others get on with screwing things up.

I know this will come as a shock to you, but some in the GOP are genuinely concerned about US defense and Intelligence.
I despise what the GOP Has laregely become, but I think demonzing every member of the GOP serves no purpose but to drive them into the arms of Trump, when many, in private probably don't like a lot of what he is doing, which has little to do with classic conservatism.
Nonsense, if they cared they would have cared about the flagrant disregard Trump showed to classified documents, their actions speak for themselves. Pretending to care about this but being fine with nuclear secrets in an unlocked public bathroom is not a position I will take seriously.

What if they don't walk like a goose or honk like a nazi?

Seems kind of stupid to insult people who are on your side, although, I have to admit that most (if not all) of my fellow republicans in congress ARE stupid, lying idiots.

As a republican who takes intelligence and defense seriously, why didn't you care about Trumps theft of secret documents?

As Trump is your official leader as the leader of the republican party, you would think that they would have been concerned about the huge security problems his theft of secret documents represented, especially combined with his poor security in keeping them in an unlocked bathroom. These are things republicans like yourself endorsed as acceptable.

So it seems pretty strange to think there is some serious concern about national security when their direct actions show they don't care.

What makes you think I don't care that the fat clown is bungling and lying his way through the second season of the Trump's Damn Stupid sit-com? Just like he did during the first season, but this time seems like his demented ignorance is taking his stupidity to a whole 'nother level of craziness, and his maga weirdoes are enabling him like a pack of uneducated, slow-witted jackasses.

Like I mentioned before, when I'm not working on the final edit of my sixth novel, I spend most of my time in the MSN and fox entertainment forums defending the dems and castigating his worthless and ignorant maga minions, but most of them are too stupid to understand anything that isn't a lie.

But republicans clearly don't care or they would not have picked Trump as their leader. Trying to pretend that this will be the straw that breaks the camels back is just ludicrous.

So why should I believe that there is any serious strand of republicanism that cares about national security when the party sent a clear message that Trump is more important than american security?
