Trump's Second Term

Trump signed an EO to punish states that don't require proof of citizenship when they register new voters. And all votes for federal elections must be counted by midnight Election Day.

Screw all those absentee ballots from overseas soldiers!

SO now the end of the world is nigh.
Sorry, but the hyperbole on this website is out of control.
I don't think the 'end of the world is nigh' but if you look at the extreme level of incompetence we are witnessing, and the utter immaturity of it, is it really that farfetched to envision a scenario where millions could die from some stupid mistake? 100s of thousands died in Covid, what if something far worse than covid hits? Do you trust this administration to deal with it with any degree of intelligence? I sure as heck don't. If you want to gripe about hyperbole, maybe you should quote Trump, who is as we speak declaring once again that he is the greatest leader of all time, the savior of mankind, has done no wrong, and has had a "perfect" 2 months as president.
Not buying that.
Trump is still in charge, and Musk has a much power as Trump gives him.
Following up on the last point, do you disagree that he is "increasingly demented and confused"? If you don't, then surely you can see how easily he could be manipulated, and how little concern he has for actually making decisions. He is no longer interested in control. Michael Cohen pointed out today how he is a complete shell of his former self. His former self would have fired at least half of the people in the signal chat. His current self is only interested in being God-King, which is why he is fine letting them (and Elon) run the show so long as he preserves his narcissistic ego.

The Guardian reported, "Rumeysa Ozturk, a doctoral student in Boston detained on Tuesday by federal immigration agents in response to her pro-Palestinian activism, was on Wednesday evening being detained at the South Louisiana Ice processing center, according to the government’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) detainee locator page. The transfer of Ozturk, a PhD student at Tufts University, appeared to violate a federal court order from Tuesday, which directed the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Ice to give the court 48 hours’ notice before attempting to take her out of Massachusetts." Ozturk is the coauthor of an opinion-editorial essay that appeared in the Tufts student newspaper. I am not aware of any other activities, nor it is obvious how an Op-Ed could say anything that is not protected speech.

And his Nacrisstitic Ego is why he and Musk will have a breaking point.
As more and more people make the President Musk comment it will get to Trump. And that Musk is, behind closed doors, not much likes by most GOPers in Congress will influence Trump.
And there are signs that Trump has reigned in Musk in some areas.
I think that Musk's going after social security might be the breaking point.

25% tariffs on all imported cars and parts? And he says they’ll be permanent?

I don’t think it can be overstated how catastrophic it’s going to be for consumers, dealers, lenders, insurers, suppliers, repair shops, aftermarket retailers, stockholders, and countless peripheral businesses and their employees. If I remember correctly, one in eight jobs in the U.S. is tied to the auto industry, an industry that is thoroughly international by design and function.

The stupidest man in history (who is absolutely sure he’s the smartest) is in charge. America, being put up on blocks and stripped to the frame.

Is Trump in charge though? His reaction to questions is increasingly that he has no idea what events the journalist is referring to.

Either he's deflecting as he has no plan of how to deal with it, or he was briefed but didn't listen properly and doesn't understand, or he was never briefed at all.

None of which is being in charge.
