Cont: Musk, SpaceX and future of Tesla II

Every patriotic American has to chip in to prop up the billionaire oligarch's failing business. This is insane.
i agree, if you wanted to explain why a conflict of interest can lead to government corruption in the most simplistic and obvious way possible so that anyone could understand it, you could just show that clip

It certainly puts the furor over Hunter Biden in new light. We live in a world where the President and his advisors are unabashedly using their offices and government resources to promote their own personal business interests. We have an unelected oligarch who is using the color of office to contract with his own companies on a sole-source, unreviewed basis to provide essential government services. And somehow this is not wanton corruption? Somehow this is patriotic? Somehow this is making the country great again?

i think it is to the socially repressive people that they've allied themselves with

But just think how efficient it is to eliminate any longwinded, unproductive tendering process and just skip directly to awarding yourself a big, fat contract.

Tesla is recalling most Cybertrucks due to exterior panel issue

Tesla is recalling nearly all Cybertrucks in the United States to fix an exterior panel that could detach during driving, the latest in a series of call-backs for the pickup truck.

The recall covers just over 46,000 vehicles built from November 2023 through February 27 of this year, Tesla said in a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Thursday.

It's not true. Not entirely, anyway.

The astronauts were "stranded" because of faults with the Boeing capsule they were scheduled to use to return. They came back on the next Crew Dragon which was already docked since September. However, due to operational constraints it couldn't undock until the next crew rotation module came to replace it. Musk may have offered to send a special mission up there, but that would have interfered with the ISS's schedule. Biden certainly didn't reject his offer "for political reasons". It was because bringing them down before the next crew was due to go up would have left only one American astronaut on the station, which is bad for a variety of reasons, most of which should be fairly obvious.

This is a pretty good explanation of what happened:

Actually that article does not seem to discuss that specific angle. But no matter, your post discusses it clearly, and I've no doubt it's accurate.

So, it's a lie, is all. No surprise there. They should call it out clearly. ...Although, they who? Not NASA, they're employees, and so vulnerable, as individuals, to being victimized, fired. So I guess it's up to those in Biden's team, who are in the know of the details. The lowlife shouldn't be allowed to have his barefaced lie stand unchallenged.

A couple of my Twitter mutuals having a conversation underneath a discussion of Musk complaining about arson of Teslas.

Guess what, Teslas relying on cameras aren't as good as LiDAR... Nor I suspect the slightly older automotive radars

I try to avoid videos where someone I don't know is fronting a dumbass facial expression because youtube says that's how you get views. The Mr Beast energy is real.
I'm aware of Mark Roper and his background.

And he shows his working. At the least the algorithm for a couple of the scenarios should be updated. If you can't see ahead of you, then automatically slow down. Just as a competent driver is supposed to drive so that their stopping distance is less than their visual range.

TBF they only have to be as good as people.
Why? Why not better? Which is what LiDAR can do. My 2015 midrange car has radar and assistive breaking. I guess it works, the alarm certainly triggers on occasion. One location if a car is waiting to turn but where the road turns, it seems as if one might be driving at the car.
