As amusing as the proposal is, the guy who wrote that petition fails to realize that Project 2025 calls for the criminalization of porn and would have the opposite effect to the one he envisions. For pornography viewers, now is the time to start downloading the porn stash to a USB drive. really, nobody is going to go searching through the inside pockets of that old jacket you have hanging in the basement.

Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S. aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies. These relentless assaults have cost the US. and World Economy many BILLIONS of Dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk.

The Houthi attack on American vessels will not be tolerated. We will use overwhelming lethal force until we have achieved our objective. The Houthis have choked off shipping in one of the most important Waterways of the World, grinding vast swaths of Global Commerce to a halt, and attacking the core principle of Freedom of Navigation upon which international Trade and Commerce depends.

Our brave Warfighters are right now carrying out aerial attacks on the terrorists' bases, leaders, and missile defenses to protect American shipping, air, and naval assets, and to restore Navigational Freedom. Michael Abramowitz, the director of VOA, said in a Facebook post on Saturday that he was placed on leave, along with “virtually the entire staff” of 1,300. The announcement comes one day after President Trump signed an executive order to gut VOA’s parent agency.

Some of VOA’s local-language radio stations have stopped broadcasting news reports and switched over to music to fill the airtime, according to listeners.

Even top editors at VOA have been ordered to stop working, so employees expect the broadcaster’s worldwide news coverage to grind to a halt, according to half a dozen sources who spoke with CNN on the condition of anonymity.

“The Voice of America has been silenced, at least for now,” a veteran correspondent said.

Voice of America is part of the US Agency for Global Media (USAGM), which also runs networks like Radio Free Europe, Radio Free Asia, and Middle East Broadcasting Networks. Those networks are also on Trump’s chopping block, as networks’ contracts with the operators have been terminated.

This was stated by Canada’s Defense Minister Bill Blair after he was reappointed as part of Prime Minister Carney’s new cabinet.
Canada is actively looking for alternatives to American aircraft including the Rafale, Typhoon and future Tempest II.

Also turkey has submitted a request to purchase 40 Typhoon fighter jets from BAE Systems.

Part of the problem Canada and other nations are discovering with the F-35 is that Lockheed won't share a lot of propriety information which prevents the owning countries with being totally self-sufficient with maintenance etc. That wasn't a problem when the US was viewed as a rock solid ally who would never turn its back on the western world but those days are over.

It will be very painful to switch to another fighter at this time considering the purchase of jets comes with a massive amount of preparation regarding training, munitions, infrastructure etc to support them. Much of that has already been underway for several years. But now that america can never again be viewed as a reliable partner, I think its the only choice.

If there's a question as to whether an executive action is constitutional, then it's within the judicial authority to determine the answer- they're not "activist" judges because they are doing their jobs as defined by the Constitution. Her "fact" amounts to an assertion that the only proper judge of executive action is the executive, with no mechanism to, let's say, check or balance it.
 
This puts us in Constitutional crisis mode, right?

Conviction requires a 2/3 vote by the Senate, 67 of more of 100 Senators. Presently the GQP controls 53 seats, the Dems 47. So the GQP would need at least 14 Dems to vote for conviction. That may be a tall order. However, if we ever reach the stage where the Dems are that compliant, it's pretty much all over for us.

But they don't need convictions. They'll just ignore the judicial rulings, as they're already doing, the DOJ will not do its job to enforce the rulings, and even if the Supreme Court were to rule against Der Fuhrer Schitler, he'll just ignore them too.
