Transwomen are not Women - Part 15

Furthermore, nothing has changed with Title IX which makes it a requirement that female teams accept male members.
That's... not quite true. A lot changed with Title IX. Not with the law itself, but with how the Department of Education interprets the law and decides to enforce it. Under Biden, the DoE essentially tried to substitute "gender" for "sex" in the law. Now the Trump administration is reversing that, and interpreting "sex" in Title IX to only mean biological sex and not "gender".
As far as I know, there have been no court cases establishing that.
Why is that the relevant criteria? When the DoE sends out a "dear colleague" letter informing universities of a change in interpretation of Title IX, it acts much like a change in the law itself, because most schools have no interest in fighting the DoE in court. So the DoE effectively has free reign to change the law until a court steps in to stop them.

The rollback of Title IX interpretation from the progressive vision (which substitutes objective physical characteristics with subjective personal identity) to the original interpretation which understands women to be discriminated against on account of their sex is probably the only thing for which I would commend the current administration.

A prominent trans-activist and vicious terf-basher who set up a Pride group and told young trans people they were "safe to contact" him, has been convicted of the rape of a 12 year old boy. There are some very disturbing details in this report, not least is the extent of his involvement with Surrey police, who repeatedly invited him to give diversity training and to present the pro-trans propaganda events they supported.

At this point, every decent gay man in the country needs to distance and dissociate himself from these perverts, with their paedophilia, pup play and castration fantasies. The entire trans movement seems to be shot through and through with these perversions, exactly the sort of perversions gay men spent so long trying to persuade the public were not a part of normal homosexuality.

I have a gripe, and I'm going to impose it on all of you.

About a year ago, I got Baldur's Gate 3. I was pretty excited, I loved the original 2 games ages and ages ago. I found myself very irritated with this one though, for two reasons. The biggest reason was that the character creation had gone out-of-the-tree gender ideologue. You get to choose your body shape (male or female physique), you gender identity (woman or man), and your pronouns (he, she, they) AND you also got to decide how big your breasts were and what facial hair you have, whether you had a vulva or a penis, and whether those genitals were bushy or clean-shaven. None of those choices were tied together. So you could make a female body shape with huge breasts, a dangling bushy dong, full beard, identify as a man, and use "they" pronouns. And you had to go through all of the creation phase, you couldn't just pick a default and roll with it. They were essentially forcing all of their players to buy in to transgender crap. The second, lesser reason, was that from very early on in the game the NPC interactions had a lot more flirting and sex-related content than I was interested in. I want to fight dragons and demons, I didn't pay for an interactive porn. I ended up abandoning the game entirely after maybe 10 hours, because it was just too pushy about it's porn-fueld childish fantasy, and that's not what I'm into.

Why do I bring this up now? Because Veilguard is this month's freebie game on PS5, and I've always been a huge fan of Bioware's Mass Effect and Dragon Age franchises. They've been great games, with amazing stories and extremely well developed NPCs. But yeah. Similar approach to Baldur's Gate. Character creation involves body shape, pronouns, breast size, bulge size, and facial hair. DA & ME have always had NPC romance as a part of the story, but it's also always been 1) challenging to achieve though continued interactions and conversation to build an actual relationship and 2) PG-13. I think DA1 *might* have shown a boob at worst, in low light, and for one particular choice among several in the game - one that's not even available in all cases, if you made different choices prior to that point. But now I have to *deselect* nudity being shown in the game while also being force-fed the notion that humans are Mr. Potato Head with plug and play parts available in any combination you can imagine.

So... back to Elden Ring I go, where every character is pretty androgynous, and it doesn't matter anyway because you pretty much never really see your own character anyway. No porniness, no mix and match genitals. Just a vaguely male or female shaped body, with clothes that make it irrelevant as soon as you put them on.

Clearly transgender ideology has infiltrated into many walks of society. I might understand in this case if they were a major part of the target market, then it could be passed off as a commercial decision. But they're not - even among the most progressive Gen Z cohort, they are still a tiny minority.

Why would private schools (e.g. Ivy League) have to give up sports under your plan to outlaw sports at state institutions?
Of course not. Harvard can have as many rowing teams as they want. And I don't really consider it "outlawing" so much as ceasing to participate. These ARE state-run institutions, after all.

Well, it shows that the whole damn thing is concocted by FOX News, mostly. Most of the applicable instances are cases where the person isn't even trans. It's basically just some loser prankster that wants to make a point, But the point isn't meaningful if there weren't losers trying to make a point. The movement is growing primarily out of the fearmongering, itself, which came BEFORE the actual cases, The mass reporting/brainwashing push began in response to the fairly vague DoE changes, not actual cases.

Actual trans people that want to participate in sports are even more rare than trans people. Filter out people who aren't particularly good at it, and you're approaching near zero. The primary people that really need to be eliminated are the pranksters egged on by FOX. So let's at least be honest about it and not call out the trannies when it's really the pranksters that are the primary problem.

The way you hear FOX talk about it, you'd think that all trans people are superior athletes... that's not even close to the case. The vast majority of them are fat and lazy like the rest of us, and start with a vastly smaller sample size.

Not trans according to what standard? Because according to the standard that the TRA's want, they are. Every single one of them. Even the ones you consider pranksters. Even the ones who say they are pranksters.

And was "Lia" Thomas just a prankster? Because I don't think he was.
But the point isn't meaningful if there weren't losers trying to make a point
That's not true either. The point becomes more visible because of the pranksters, but it's meaningful regardless.

Also not true.

Your argument refutes itself. If cases are so rare that we don't need to worry about the effects of trans inclusion in women's sports, then guess what? They are also so rare that we don't need to worry about the effects of trans exclusion from women's sports either.

You can't have it both ways.
The primary people that really need to be eliminated are the pranksters egged on by FOX.
And guess what: you cannot eliminate them without eliminating self-ID.

Guess what the pranksters want? To eliminate self-ID.

So what should we do? Eliminate self-ID.

What do the trans activists want? To keep self-ID.

Are you ignorant about how much of this thread has centered around the inherent problems with self-ID, and the trans activists' defense of it?
The way you hear FOX talk about it, you'd think that all trans people are superior athletes...
I'm not interested in defending your straw men. I don't care about how Fox describes the problem, I don't pay attention to them, I don't trust your characterization of what they say, and most importantly they aren't taking part in the discussion here.

I dropped out of reading the Game of Thrones series for similar reasons.

I actually liked the romance quests in BG2, but they were really character driven, not titillating. Haven't gotten BG3, most of what I had heard was pretty positive, but... yeah. That doesn't sound appealing to me at all. Nor does that sound like a game I can comfortably put on the same computer I let my kids play on.

Sure, sure, those 1000 females who got ousted from their female sports by males who took podium and cut-off places totally don't count. They're just a bunch of uppity bitches who need to just shut up and be nice, right?

DA and ME were like that too, at least in their prior incarnations. It was part of the appeal, that players developed real emotional attachments with both romantic partners and friends. It was devotion and loyalty and care.

I would definitely recommend against it being accessible to kids. I never made it that far, but I've heard from several people that the sex scenes are a lot more than you would expect from a video game, like NC-17 level stuff. I'm not particularly prude (at least not be Gen-X standards), but I was put off by the character creator when I found myself unexpectedly looking at schlongs on my screen.

Women's sports are not a junior league for poorly-performing men.

People who are more down with the kids than I am have been saying for a while that the younger children, who are rapidly becoming the tweens and the teenagers of today, are not into the trans thing at all. Trans-identifying peers are regarded as "sad", not edgy or cool or stunning and brave. If this is indeed the case then huge structures constructed to "support trans youth" are going to be running around pursuing the last pathetic transgirl in town. With all their funding intact, probably. And the gender meat grinder clinics may start losing money.

Being trans is no longer an act of rebellion, if it's what your teachers are pushing on you. Fads and fashions move on. Let's hope this one is going the way of the wasp waist and the leg-o-mutton sleeve.
