Trump's Second Term

It this also true for people who speak up against Trump?

Look, MSN is a terrible web site. It's crap, it plagiarizes its content, and it's yet another Microsoft piece of ◊◊◊◊. Nobody concerned for a free and open web should be using it, just as nobody who cares about a free and open USA should be supporting Trump.

It annoys me that people continue to use user-hostile, privacy raping corporate bloated web sites in the name of convenience, in the same way it annoys people that others voted for Trump despite the warnings. And my warning is this: continue to support the crap sites, and eventually we'll lose the free web to corporations who will control what people can and cannot post. Already email is a crapshoot thanks to big ISPs blocking user-run mail servers.

MSN isn't quite the poster child for the en◊◊◊◊tifcation of the web, but they're in the top 10 of abusive sites.

I still think you're making futile arguments against things you can't change. Tilting at windmills, as it were.

Portugal has ruled out and order for F-35s from the US and will replace their F-16s with European fighters.

“We have to be able to count on the predictability of our allies, which is no longer the case with the United States."
That is absolutely brilliant news.

Judges again.

This constant attack by Elon is just priming for the arrests they have already decided on isn't it?

Elon Musk
@elonmusk

Without judicial reform, which means at least the absolute worst judges get impeached, we don’t have real democracy in America

Much like Germans who opposed the Third Reich.

For an easy, stress free life it's best just to go with the flow. I mean, what's the worst that could happen if big corporations take control of the primary means of global communication?

Trump lying on live TV
"We are not allowed to sell cars to the EU. It's prohibited".
"We sell no cars to Europe".

It's always puzzled me why the USA can produce such well engineered products and yet its cars, particularly its IC engines, are so technologically behind what European and Japanese manufacturers achieved. I wonder if the same will be true of US electric cars?

"When I first went to @NATO... I noticed that very few people were paying—and if they were, they weren't paying their fair share... I was able to raise hundreds of billions of dollars... the money started pouring in and NATO became much stronger because of my actions.” – President Donald J. Trump

One of the reasons is US cars are cheaper than European cars.

Europe needs to deal with its car smuggling problem because, despite their being 'prohibited', somehow Europeans were able to get their hands on over 400,000 Fords, 300,000 Teslas, 100,000 Jeeps etc last year.

If you look at the best-selling cars in Europe you'll notice the most unAmerican thing about them is that they are small cars.

Biden left the best post-COVID economy of all developed nations. It took Donnie Diapers and J.D. Maybelline only 7 weeks to ◊◊◊◊ that up.

Thanks maga-idiots.
Note what vice president jd vance said: "[A]s the president has said a recognition that we have to accept, which is that Joe Biden left this economy in a disaster." vance doesn't say it's true, only that we "have to accept" it. Does it matter to the Magamutts whether it's true or not? No, it probably doesn't. What matters is, trump said it.

Perhaps if we want quality journalism we should be prepared to pay for accountable humans to look into a topic and publish articles?

Yes, like the car thing: Trump's fans now 'know' American cars are banned from sale in Europe. Of course it isn't true, but that doesn't matter because Trump said it.

Like a senile elderly relative, he said something puzzling that was probably a reference to something that had some kernel of fact (my guess would be Tesla Cybertucks aren't type approved in Europe as they don't meet pedetrian safety regs) but isn't remotely true as stated. Doesn't matter. The dear leader said it, it is MAGA canon.

ISTM that the US is to vehicles as Australia is to mammals, a comparatively isolated ecosystem which has resulted some species that look weird to outside observers.

Leopard eating it's own face!

lon Musk's electric carmaker Tesla has warned it and other US exporters could be harmed by countries retaliating to Donald Trump's trade tariffs.

Mr Musk is a close ally of the US president and is leading efforts to reduce the size of the federal government.

But in an unsigned letter addressed to the US trade representative, Tesla said while it "supports" fair trade it was concerned US exporters were "exposed to disproportionate impacts" if other countries retaliated to tariffs.
