The Truth about RFK Jr

We are now learning more about the censorship of adverse reactions to the COVID vaccines and the harmful impact of that censorship. Just the News published this report a few days ago:

Why do you only post from national socialist sites?

"But on Tuesday, speaking for the first time to thousands of U.S. Health and Human Services agency employees, he vowed to investigate the childhood vaccine schedule that prevents measles, polio and other dangerous diseases. “Nothing is going to be off limits,” Kennedy said, adding that pesticides, food additives, microplastics, antidepressants and the electromagnetic waves emitted by cellphones and microwaves also would be studied." Hindustan Times.

If we are asking why Americans are not healthier* and if nothing is off limits, then I would add two things. One is Covid-19, and the other is the low uptake of newer versions of the Covid-19 vaccine. Covid-19 decreased life expectancy, according to everything I have read. I suspect that vaccine hesitancy is hurting the United States, relative to its peers.

*My question may be broader than the one that RFK, Jr. is asking, because I am deliberately including an infectious disease and not limiting my scope only to chronic disease. IIUC RFK, Jr. is posing the question of why there is so much chronic disease in the country, an "epidemic" according to some, including RFK Jr. himself. NBC News wrote, "Kennedy described himself as uniquely positioned to “end the chronic disease epidemic” in the United States, which he blamed for high health care costs." Parenthetically, I question whether the word epidemic is appropriate.

NBC News continued, "“There’s almost nothing at NIH, very, very little, a low percentage of its budget, a $42 billion budget, that is devoted to finding out why we’re having this obesity epidemic. We know it’s an environmental toxin,” Kennedy said, adding: “Why aren’t we devoting science to finding out what those toxins are and then eliminating them?”" Wait, we know it's an environmental toxin?!

Of course we do, what else could it be? People eating excessive amounts of high calorie food? :p

Huffpost reported, "In 2021, Kennedy had said, “We should not be giving Black people the same vaccine schedule that’s given to whites, because their immune system is better than ours.” [Representative] Alsobrooks asked Kennedy to explain what he meant by that remark, and he went on to reference a “series of studies” while saying research shows that “Blacks need fewer antigens.” (For the record, experts say that this is not true.)". I don't specialize in immunochemistry, but this is a dubious claim.

MedPageToday reported, "The possibility that Kennedy might remove some of the members of ACIP has Georges Benjamin, MD, the executive director of the American Public Health Association, "very worried."

"This is one of the reasons we opposed him -- we knew he was lying when he said he was not going to touch this group in particular," Benjamin said in a phone interview. He added that although it's not uncommon for administrations to change members of these committees and he "doesn't want to overstate" his concerns, Kennedy "has views we don't trust on conflict of interest." Committee members are "thoroughly vetted for conflict and balanced in terms of views," Benjamin said. And contrary to Kennedy's assertion that the committees aren't properly constructed, "they are properly constructed -- while you might change the people [on them], I don't know how you can not have people with a similar kind of mix."

Are people really that naive - does he not know all that is required from the committee is a rubberstamp? Indeed is there any need for such a committee going forward?

NPR reported, "[Senator] Cassidy said he was able to vote for Kennedy after securing assurances that he would "maintain the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations without changes."..."In the past, these people — almost all of them — have severe, severe conflicts of interest, and that's not good for our country," he [RFK, Jr] said." This is rubbish.

Cassidy is a liar or extremely stupid.. or both. I have a spark of hope though, this shows that some of these Nazis are ashamed of what they are giving power to. Just a spark, though, because they are cowards that still fall in line.

Looking through the article, I don't see anything that indicates Cassidy (or anyone else) feels ashamed for their role in confirming Kennedy.

The first quote (that Kennedy gave "assurances") was the only real reference to Cassidy in the article. Anything else that warned of the dangers Kennedy represents came from others in the medical field or other opponents.

David Gorski does a deep dive. Long.

Only when the babies start dying again in plague proportions will the horrifying realisation might just dawn. Even then, pathetic excuses will flow.

When kids start dying of measles, does anyone really think the anti-vaxxers and MAGA will say, "Oh my God! What a terrible mistake we made!"?

Of course not. It will take them a few days to come up with a new narrative about how actually there is just a bad strain of meningitis going around...

They may even find a way of blaming people who have been vaccinated for the outbreak - vaccination has allowed mega-measles to develop.....

FYI, the Children's Health Defense (CHD) group, which RFK Jr.'s critics summarily reject and denigrate, includes the following scientists on its scientific advisory committee:

Dr. George Lucier. Dr. Lucier retired from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences in 2000 where he was Director of the Environmental Toxicology program and Associate Director of the National Toxicology Program. In that capacity, Dr. Lucier was responsible for coordinating toxicological research and testing across Federal agencies including the U.S Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and parts of the Centers for Disease Control. Dr. Lucier was head of a research group in molecular epidemiology and risk assessment and has authored approximately 250 scientific publications. His research focused on the use of basic biology to reduce uncertainty in human risk assessments and to improve the tools used in exposure assessment. His work has made major contributions to risk assessments for dioxins, endocrine disrupters and methylmercury and he is frequently asked by Federal agencies to assist them in high visibility risk assessments.

Dr. Lucier chairs the Science Advisory Board for hazardous air pollutants for the State of North Carolina which makes recommendations on safe exposure levels on air pollutants of concern to North Carolina. He is also an advisor to the National Institutes of Health, a member of the NAS Committee on Toxicity Testing and a member of the Science Advisory Board for EPA. Dr. Lucier was editor of the scientific journal, Environmental Health Perspectives, for 28 years.

Dr. Richard Deth. Professor of Pharmacology in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Nova Southeastern University and Professor Emeritus at Northeastern University. Dr. Richard Deth received his B.S. degree in Pharmacy from State University of New York at Buffalo, and his doctoral degree in Pharmacology from the University of Miami. His research interests are focused on the role of oxidative stress and impaired methylation reactions in neurodevelopmental, neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders, including the important role of epigenetic regulation. His laboratory was first to identify the unique ability of the D4 dopamine receptor to carry out phospholipid methylation and showed that numerous environmentally derived toxins, including heavy metals, potently impair this process as well as other methylation reactions.

Dr. Deth has published more than 100 peer reviewed research articles and book chapters and in 2003 he authored the monograph “Molecular Origins of Human Attention: The Dopamine-Folate Connection”. In recent years his work has focused understanding the factors contributing to the current autism epidemic.

Dr. Elizabeth Mumper. Dr. Mumper attended the Medical College of Virginia, did residency training at the University of Massachusetts and University of Virginia, and served as Chief Resident of Pediatrics at UVA. Her clinical experience has included five years in pediatric practice, over a decade as Director of Pediatric Education in a Family Practice Residency Program, 16 years as clinical faculty at the University of Virginia, and five years as Medical Director of the Autism Research Institute. She is currently on the faculty of MAPS (Medical Academy for Pediatric Special Needs), and recently obtained certification from the Institute of Functional Medicine.

Dr. Jacob Puliyel. Dr. Puliyel is a pediatrician, post-graduate teacher and researcher who has worked in India and the UK. He worked on the health economics of vaccines for his MPhil in Health Systems Management. He was a member of the National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) of the Government of India, advising national policy on vaccines and immunization.

He is currently the Director of Research and Projects at Holy Family Hospital in Delhi. Prior to this, he was Head of Pediatrics at St Stephens Hospital Delhi. He has over 160 publications in peer reviewed journals. His most recent work is on natural immunity to chickenpox with mother to baby transfer of varicella DNA.

Finally, here are the CHD's recommendations for improving vaccine safety--notice that nothing is said about banning vaccines:

Seven Steps to Vaccine Safety Vaccine
If liability protection fromm vaccines is withdrawn then either no one will market the vaccines in the US because the legal system is too vicarious and costly and profits on vaccines too low, or vaccine prices will need to rise significantly. (See the difference in drug costs between US and rest of world).

mikegriffith1: What was the advice given by these people, and is there any indication that CHD have followed it?
