Evidence that any minorities WILL be hurt by "elimination of DEI?"
Woohoo, evidence in support of FUTURE events? My, the patriotists sure do live in a dizzying world. Must be fun, like riding a free roller-coaster.

Until they start to puke.
Athwollipot made the claim that minorities will be hurt in the future by eliminating DEI training. It's on him to at least supply some reasoning in support of his claim rather than just asking that we all take on faith that the sky is going to fall if we don't dance naked under the moonlight in a counter-clockwise circle while holding our left elbow and chanting in sumerian.

I can show you plenty of evidence that minorities were harmed before DEI. Whether you accept that what happened before DEI will happen after it is gone is up to you.
You act like nothing else occurred between the late 1960s and the early 2020s.

Are you seriously suggesting that without forcible anti-racist policies that define having white skin as being inherently bad and evil... we would reinstitute racial segregation and starting beating people up? Seriously?

Come on, pal. "Without the forced teachings of Jesus and the constant repetition of catechisms, these poor sinners would inevitably resort to rampant murder and mayhem!" Torquemada would be so very proud.

Some of us can see the writing on the wall. Some of us can see the reasons why (white male cis hetero) leaders are going after DEI.
Some of you are enamored with a narrative that lets you feel righteously justified in abusing and harassing anyone who disagrees with you. You seem to need an enemy to rail against, and appear unable to comprehend that opposing preferential treatment for one group does not suggest support of preferential treatment for a different group.
First they came for the trans people and I spoke up because I've read the rest of the mother ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ poem.
Nobody's coming for the trans people. Disallowing males from appropriating female spaces and services isn't oppression.

A less qualified person should NEVER be selected for a job, just because they are a member of a minority group.

When you ban inclusion, you have...

You do know that the stonewall riots were not led by transgender identifying people, right? They were started by a lesbian, Stormie DeLarvarie, who shouted "Why won't you guys do something?" immediately prior to the outbreak of violence.

And the person who has been retconned into being the "leader" was 1) a gay male who had a drag persona of Marsha Johnson but who never identified as female nor desired to be female at all but was quite happy being a gay male and 2) wasn't present at the beginning of or during the riots, but showed up as it was winding down. Malcolm Michaels - which is their actual name, and the name they were consistently know as when not performing in drag, is on record clarifying that they were neither transgender nor present at the start of the riot. It's a shame that activists have abused Michaels' actual history posthumously by using them up for stolen valor.

I would rather like to get back to appropriately and accurately honoring the brave female lesbian who played such a pivotal role.

So your entire "when you ban inclusion" cautionary tale is a canard. Propaganda. Fake news. That you accepted uncritically, and repeated as if it were the truth. I'd say an apology is in order. I can show you what a good one looks like, if you're not sure how to go about it.

What surprises and concerns me is how quickly the US Park Service identified and corrected this bit of misinformation. It's almost like they already knew it was a lie.

Do you think the conspiracy is masterminded by the Illuminati, or is it just Cylon agents acting independently?

No, this nonsense is being perpetrated much closer to home, by regular humans like you and me. Some well-meaning but misled, some unhinged in one or more ways.

Why? Do you have reason to believe alien space robots were behind the US Park Service's error? Is that more palatable to you, than the idea that trans rights activists are lying to you, and exploiting your good will?

It's a more reasonable guess than your suggestion that the Park Service engaged in a cover-up which has now been corrected by the wise directives of that dedicated historian and all-round champion of truth, Donald Trump.

I'm suggesting the opposite of a cover-up. I'm suggesting people knowingly perpetuated a lie, until they thought they might be caught at it, and then they rolled it back.

I'm not seeing any evidence that the Park Service committed any error other than exclusion of the term "transgender". This is from the website:

1739589950729.png

Until yesterday it said "LGBTQ+". As in, the commonly used initialism that was recently banned by Trump who declared unilaterally by executive order that transgender people didn't exist.

You know, exclusion. Erasure.

Ever since 2016, when the monument was unveiled as the first national park dedicated to LGBTQ+ civil rights, the website has used the letters and symbol “LGBTQ+.” They stand for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer — and the plus sign refers to other gender identities not represented.

But by midday Thursday, the “T” had been removed, leaving “LGBQ+.” And by Thursday evening, the “Q” and the plus sign were gone as well, leaving only “LGB civil rights.”

The National Park Service in a statement said it was only “implementing” President Donald Trump’s executive order in which he proclaimed only two genders, as well as an Interior Department memo eliminating diversity, equity and inclusion programs.

“We are sending a message to Donald Trump: We will not let you erase the existence of our trans siblings,” Councilmember Erik Bottcher, who is also openly gay, said.

“The Trump administration’s work to ‘restore biological truth to the federal government’ is total bulls---,” Rep. Jerry Nadler said to cheers.

L, G, and B aren't gender expressions, and should never have been lumped together with T, Q, and +.
