Transwomen are not Women - Part 15

What new is that you've tried to change the definition of the most discriminated group in history to include anyone who feels like it. There is absolutely no way you'd ever allow a white person to self-ID themselves an N-word pass yet for some reason its ok to self-ID your way into women's safe spaces
While I broadly agree, "safe spaces" is probably the worst possible term to describe a private room with no lock and security personnel. A women's rest room or locker room, being a semi-isolated area, is likely the least safe of spaces a lone woman could find herself in.

Not a dark alleyway then?

By all means. I can't force you to take this seriously.

Trans people using the bathrooms and probably also locker rooms of their new gender isn't something new, it's always been happening, with no one complaining. The only reason it's sudddenly a huge issue now is that culture war agitators have made it a big issue

This is not entirely true.

On those "it's always been happening" occasions you are talking about, those trans people were transvestites - males who were actually living as women, almost always after having having had surgery to make them appear female, and ALWAYS dressing appropriately for their gender. But what has changed, and is happening now is "Self ID by fiat".... ANY man, whether he really has girly feels or not, can simply say the magic words "I am a woman" and they are granted an instant pass to women's safe spaces such as domestic violence shelters, rape crisis centres, toilets, bathrooms, changing facilities such as gyms, health spas and public swimming pools.

Biological male prisoners, even sexual predators, can also say those magic words, and immediately get themselves transferred to women's prisons, straight into the general population where they prey on more vulnerable women. And then we have biological males like William (Lia) Thomas being allowed to compete in women's swimming with all the unfair advantages he gained over the others in the competition by dint of having gone through male puberty which grants him superior height, strength, lung capacity, bone density, stamina and body shape.... and no, drugs and hormone treatments cannot change that... male puberty is a bell that cannot be unrung. ...

And NONE of the abovementioned and "has always been happening".

Fringe reset #4038.

The genie is out of the bottle and won't be going back in. Women were conditioned to #bekind and tolerate cross-dressing men in our spaces, on the assumption that they had been psychologically screened as no threat (not true), they were poor harmless distressed flowers who only wanted to pee (not true), they had had their cock and balls chopped off (not always true), and they were only a tiny number (not true). We never liked it, but we were told that our discomfort was unimportant compared to the needs of these poor, marginalised sweethearts.

They were the camel's nose in the tent. Now the entire camel is in the tent, and the objective has to be to get the entire camel back out again. I don't care how the supposedly harmless marginalised flowers cope, that's not my problem. Women's spaces are not a support system for socially disadvantaged or mentally ill men.

Yeah, lets use pedantry to quibble and nitpick over the meaning of "safe" when everyone, including you, knows EXACTLY what we mean by "women's safe spaces"

Unless they're within shouting distance of staff and/or other customers who would come running if a woman called for help. You know, like 95% of them are 95% of the time.

What do you think has been keeping the flashers and voyeurs out of women's safe spaces up until now?

What you're describing are transsexuals, not transvestites.

I have trans friends. One of them was originally female, but you'd never know. Do you really want him to use female bathrooms?

Almost none of the issues that exist with transwomen are problematic when it comes to transmen. Men don't care if a particularly short and small man comes into their private space. No man is going to be afraid to share a cell with a transman. It doesn't strike anybody as particularly unfair if a transman wants to compete in men's sports. It's almost as if men aren't really threatened by women.

I stand corrected, although I still see this as a case of tomayto tomahto, potayto potahto.

The point remains that what @Safe-Keeper is talking about w.r.t. what used to "happen all the time" is emphatically NOT what is happening now. Likening them to each other is both misleading and mischievous.

I would add for the benefit of @Safe-Keeper, that Transsexuals were accepted, perhaps with some trepidation by some women, quietly and without much fuss, but what is happening now is that men, with nothing other than the uttering some magic words, are demanding RIGHT of access to women's safe spaces.

Furthermore, contrary to what trans-rights activists and their lackeys (far-left progressive Liberals) will try to claim, it is NOT centrist, non-progressive Liberals (such as myself) or even conservatives who are making the most noise about it, it is TRAs themselves who have stirred up this ****-storm

TRAs are the ones claiming that calling trans-gender persons their original name is trans-phobic!
TRAs are the ones claiming that not using preferred pronouns is aggression and trans-phobic!
TRAs are the ones who label anyone who beleives the objective, observable reality that there are only two sexes is trans-phobic!
TRAs are the ones who label those who say its not possible to change as sex trans-phobic!

Additionally...

TRAs are the only ones who lobby the employers of anyone who speaks against their Holy Creed to get them fired.
TRAs are the only ones who threaten (and enact) violence against anyone who publicly speaks against their dogma.
TRAs are the only ones who run organized Twitter/X outrage mobs to threaten anyone who disgrees with them.

Just ask these people...

Colin Wright, an evolutionary biologist.
Driven out of academia by an Twitter outrage mob for arguing in favour of a scientific truth, namely, that there are only two biological human sexes.

Dr. Kathleen Stock OBE.
Denounced and targeted as a “transphobe” by over 700 of her academic colleagues for the crime of advocating Gender Critical viewpoints, specifically that transwomen should be excluded from places like women’s locker rooms and shelters, and rape crisis centres, as well as for calling for an end to the assocation between UK universities and Stonewall.

Professor Selina Todd, history professor at Oxford University’s St. Hilda College.
Targeted by a Twitter outrage mob who had her "no-platformed" by the Oxford International Women's Festival, at which she had been due to speak. The event's organisers told her the decision was due to pressure from trans activists. Apparently, she had the temerity to state that there is a need for women-only spaces because of past violence against women by natural born males. She had to be given security because some of those nice, cuddly, inoffensive people that a number of posters here love to support, made threats of physcial violence agianst her.

Professor Nathaniel Hiers of the College of North Texas.
Fired for calling microaggressions “garbage”. A lawsuit is ongoing against the College and Department Chair for violation of his rights to speech and academic freedom.

Professor Kathleen Lowery.
Removed from her position as Associate Chair for Academic Programs in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Alberta. Her crime? She expressed her disgreement with the idea that biological sex is irrelevant. She said that housing trans-identified men in women’s prisons is not fair to women prisoners and puts women at risk.

Laura Tanner, graduate student in Feminist Studies, UCSB.
Attacked by the outrage mob in an attempt to remove her from campus and teaching, because she stated the scientific and biological facts that there are only two biological sexes, and that a man can never become a woman.

Stephen Gliske, Neuroscientist, UMich.
Targeted for presenting a proposing a new theory of gender dysphoria that offended some trans activists and their academic sychophants.

Linda Gottfredson, Psychology, University of Delaware
Disinvited from a conference in Sweden for presenting research showing that there are group differences in average IQ test scores and for reviewing research showing that intelligence is heritable. In fact, intelligence is indeed heritable to some extent, but apparently, saying so triggered some snowflakes in Swedish academia.

Lisa Littman, MD & behavioral scientist, Brown U
Fired from a consulting position because her paper on “Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria” butthurt a few transgender activists, professionals, and academics.

Jerry Coyne, evolutionary biologist
Resigned his position as Honorary Board member (along with Stephen Pinker and Richard Dawkins) from the FFRF (Freedom From Religion Foundation) after they removed one of his dissertatrions under pressure from the Gender Ideology Cult, and then accused him of transphobia

Now this is just a tiny selection of the thousands of academics who have been fired, lost positions, been forced to retract papers, and received threats of violence and death because they dared to challenge the Holy Creed of the Gender Ideology Cult.

Stonewall recently changed its definition of transphobia. The new definition no longer includes 'denying someone's gender identity or refusing to accept it' as part of the definition. It was that definition that allowed Stonewall to claim that disagreeing that self-declared gender identity should replace sex in all contexts or that children claiming to be the opposite sex should be unconditionally affirmed, is transphobia. Since so many workplaces (including government institutions) were signed up to the Stonewall diversity champions scheme and HR were 'educated' by Stonewall, this was responsible for numerous witch-hunts, cancellations, discrimination and harassment on the basis of philosophical belief. However, many organisations are still using Stonewall's previous definition in their policies.

Yes, because that was obviously what I was referring to
You should perhaps ask yourself whether "culture war agitators have made it a big issue" of late because they were provoked in some way or another. I provided you with one possible reason why this issue has come to a head (pardon the pun) so recently; I understand why you'd be motivated to ignore it but that's not a reasonable approach. You have to stare Lia Thomas and Agee Merager right in their freely swinging girldicks and ask yourself whether "culture war agitators" are actually fighting for something females used to take for granted in our society, something recently cast into doubt by progressive reforms to the interpretation of existing non-discrimination laws.

It's true that women have been quietly allowing respectful transwomen we know and trust into our safe spaces for years, knowing that if we made an error of judgement the law (not to mention everyone within earshot) would be on our side. What changed was that trans rights activists started demanding that we put up with arrogant and entitled males we nether know nor trust being billeted on us without our consent.
