Merged The razor of Hitchens and the Spirits!

Calderaro, people on this forum have given you a lot of time & attention and had very little engagement back. How about you reassure us that you're not just another seagull poster by answering a really basic question?

Since you introduce introduced this hypothesis (it certainly isn't a theory), what do YOU understand the terms "Microtubules" and "Quantum Information" to mean and how do they relate to each other and/or interact?

Caldera, stop running away and answer the question.

If someone demands extraordinary evidence for the existence of spirits, but accepts lesser evidence for other claims (such as the existence of black holes before their direct confirmation), this reveals an inconsistent bias.

It does not. One is based on the science available, with rigorous methodology, and the other based on "dude I totes feeeeel this".

I don't have the capacity to answer your intelligent question!
No, it appears you don't. What do you plan to do about that?

I believe in the existence of spirits! Because Jesus believed in spirits! Just read the New Testament!
I've read the New Testament many times. That doesn't give me any reason to believe any of it. Besides, the Bible is generally incompatible with your brand of spiritualism as it forbids consorting with "familiar spirits."

Asked and answered multiple times. You are not be asked for extraordinary evidence. You cannot even supply ordinary evidence.

We don't believe in any religion for the most part either. We don't trust the bible to be factual recounts of history.
It has been explained why already.

You just keep stacking up woo on other blocks of woo, you have created absolutely nothing of substance.

I don't have the capacity to answer your intelligent question!
Yes you do.

You just can't answer it without honestly questioning/testing your own beliefs, and that is not a thing you want to do.

This is entirely understandable. To do so is scary.

I would encourage you to do it, though. If your beliefs survive honest examination, then you can rest easy. If those beliefs don't survive honest examination, then you are free of them and any constraints or such that they may demand.

It's an extremely basic question, if you can't even explain what you are putting forward as evidence then you have no idea if it even is evidence, That's an admission that you're wasting the time of those people who have responded to you in good faith.

While you may be free of one yoke... you're now on your own. There's a way of thinking that sees that as Hell itself. No loving father/creator, no guidance, no neat little boxes.

And it's a fact that lots of people equate that kind of thinking, that belief, as the essence of virtue, and its absence as ...bad, horrible, whatever is the opposite of virtue, in a way that actual vices like dishonesty and ...well, whatever others, isn't. (That is, the former is absolute, not negotiable, not redeemable. The latter, while frowned on, are.)

...Not that that has anything to do with our latest chew toy. Actually our latest chew toy seems to be doing a smart enough job of the t-thing, so that he's effectively reduced the lot of us to his chew toys here, and with minimal effort when compared to the effort people here are putting in.

There is no need to be alone. There are still things to be a part of: family (traditional* or found), community, society, humanity (choose your own granularity).

*this feels like the wrong word, but the other options I came up with were definitely worse.
