Oh, dear. Women can't compete unless we lower the bar.His first step which affected women's rights was abolishing DEI.

I'm not a Democrat, but I'm hopeful Republicans will grow a sense of decency, though I'm not holding my breath.I am hopeful that Dems will keep this attitude through the next few election cycles.
Hahaha, you assume the bar has to be lowered for women? Bless.Oh, dear. Women can't compete unless we lower the bar.

As you note, this guy was just forced to resign after all his racist tweets came to light. No wonder Herr Musk didn’t want their names published. All the best people…25-Year-Old Elon Musk Crony Has Total Control Over Treasury Payments
If the story at the New Republic is true, as a long time I/T professional I find this terrifying. Allowing one single person to modify code on a payment system without any oversight or code review? Just what is the new code doing? Auditing, I hope, but what's to say it isn't shaving one penny off of every payment and sending it to a secret account?
If this was being done by anyone else other than one of Musk's minions, that person would be instantly arrested and charged under the Computer Fraud and Abuse act, for starters. A huge number of additional charges would follow, probably enough to put that person behind bars for twenty years and more.
I note the person in question has resigned because he's been unmasked as a racist who wanted to repeal the Civil Rights Act and had promoted hatred toward people from India.

Let's wait and see what the next study which looks at the effect that gender on otherwise identical CVs has on the chances of being invited for interview shows, shall we? Assuming it's still possible to even collect that data, let alone publish the study, in Trump's America. So, one step in favor of equal rights for women.
I'm waiting for the announcement from Trump and MAGA that the world is really flat...
I see what you did there. That summarizes Trump's second term in Toto

To be fair. He did say they let you grab them by the pussy of your you're a star. It was a simple misunderstanding. How many of these women did Trump sexually assault after this photo was taken? How many did he grab by the p*ssy? Did Trump’s Defense Secretary drop by and rape any of them? Were any of them sex trafficked by his first pick for Attorney General?

According to Christian doctrine, which Trump claims to be well-versed in, he was guilty of adultery with all of those women. How many of these women did Trump sexually assault after this photo was taken? I find your insinuations very strange. I am familiar with the matched-CV studies in one area: hiring for tenure-track positions in STEM. According to a recent systematic review, a total of such studies have been conducted. Of the six, five found that female CVs were strongly favored over male, and the one study that found the opposite (Steinpreiss 1999) was the smallest and statistically weakest of the six. Steve Ceci, lead author of the review, discussed these results at the recently held 3-day conference, "Censorship in the Sciences: Interdisciplinary Conferences," the videos of which have been posted online. His 30-minute talk starts at about 3:09:00 of the Day 2 video. His discussion of the matched-CV studies starts at about 3:17:30.Let's wait and see what the next study which looks at the effect that gender on otherwise identical CVs has on the chances of being invited for interview shows, shall we? By ensuring that white males get their accustomed preference?Ironic, then, that his first steps down this path have been in the opposite direction.
Exactly, because without DEI policies the bar is set higher for women than for men.Oh, dear. Women can't compete unless we lower the bar.

I have no idea why you think studies on this topic would be difficult to publish under Trump. In fact, it is studies that have contradicted the narrative of pervasive racial or gender bias in STEM have been very difficult to publish and have been harshly criticized (or outright canceled—forced to be retracted) when they have been published. As Ceci discusses, the smallest, weakest matched-CV study (Steinpreiss), which showed bias against women, received little if any methodological criticism when it published, whereas the five larger, stronger studies that showed that women's CVs were preferred over men's were all highly criticized.
I hope you'll watch Ceci's talk.
