Split Thread Diversity Equity and Inclusion and merit in employment etc

For the millionth time, what you're calling "SDEI" is actual DEI as practiced throughout the United States, and in fact as had been mandated throughout the entire federal government bureaucracy until about two weeks ago. Whereas, what you are calling "actual DEIA," has not been shown to exist anywhere other than in your own mind (and, no, statements on websites of DEI consultants don't get much evidential weight).
Yes, and as I've been saying all along, that's all ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ and it always has been.

And I suppose my posting the diversity and inclusion policy of the Australian ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ Government doesn't count? I posted that pages and pages ago. Don't try and claim that you missed it.

You know what the current administration is doing by banning so-called "DEI"? They're setting the default standard for competence as a white cis hetero anglo male (WCHAM). All the people that actual real DEI is supposed to protect are now "DEI Hires", which is a term you'll never, ever, ever see applied to a white cis hetero anglo male. A "DEI Hire" is by default a less qualified person than a WCHAM. Any woman, any trans person, any black person, any Hispanic person, any Asian person, any gay or lesbian person can be labelled a "DEI Hire" but never a WCHAM.

That's what's actually happening here. If you can't see it then you're wilfully blind.

The difference between you saying what you say and me saying what I say about DEI is that I have backed up what I say by posting verbatim presidential executive orders, peer reviewed papers, and articles quoting government officials, whereas you repeatedly state unsupported claims as if they are anything but...unsupported claims (except for one DEI consulting firm's marketing materials).

Yeah, and maybe that is really what Australia is doing (or maybe not). But even if they are really doing what they say they are doing, stop trying to apply the Australian definition of DEI to the American (and Canadian, and British, etc.) one, much less trying to tell us what our DEI apparatchiks mean when they apply Orwellian definitions to terms like "equity," "diversity," and "inclusion." And all the foregoing notwithstanding, if Australia's form of DEI is predicated on the incoherent nonsense you spewed here, it is indefensible.

Donald signed an Executive Order on his first day to investigate and prosecute at least a dozen of the largest companies and corporations.

I worked for 15 years for the Australian Public Service and had to do mandatory annual refresher trainings. I know whereof I speak.

Your claim was that "my version of" DEIA did not exist. It does. This real-world example from my own lived experience is an example of you being wrong about that.

And if that was ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ happening then systemic racism wouldn't be a thing. Just because you don't "think" (I use that term very loosely) that there is systemic racism, doesn't mean there isn't. If it were just as easy as saying "oh, we won't factor in race, etc." then it would be a perfect world.

I get it, you're fine with racism. Everyone knows. You wear it on your sleeve like a tacky shirt. That doesn't mean the rest of us agree with your ludicrous implication.
