Many of them wanted it. Many of them thought it was just bluster.

I don’t really buy that and I certainly won’t give anyone a pass who claims that. You vote for what you vote for. If you voted for Trump, every action that Trump takes that he said he would take and the predictable consequences that follow are on your head.

Trump is in the process of destroying the economy and undermining public safety but these freaks are elated because the less than 1% of the population they are obsessed with are being targeted.

If only Democrats had calibrated their messaging to appeal to these voters.

Destroying the same-sex safe-space protections of 51% of the population to satisfy the whims of less that 1% of the population is a big reason why you lost and will continue to lose.
You need to come up with a better slogan than "We've changed the definition of woman, no we wont be explaining it, problem transphobe!?!?"

No one had that slogan and it certainly wasn’t part of the Harris campaign. You are referring to right wing propaganda about the Harris campaign, not the actual Harris campaign.

And if you think voting for an adjudicated sex abuser and his cadre of sex abusers was ever about keeping women safe, I’ve got some cheap eggs to sell you.

"We've changed the definition of woman, no we wont be explaining it, problem transphobe!?!?" is the only argument the trans rights activists on this board and around the world have ever had and you won't be proving me wrong

I'm under no illusions as to the misogyny of the Republican party - You have given them an open goal

Now that you’ve acknowledged that Republicans are the party of sex abusers it is unclear why you continue to insist their anti-trans stance was about keeping women safe.

You want to put some money on that?

hahaha not really. but i’d bet it’s close.

edit

actually i’d truly be interested in being presented the numbers. how many women the trans assaulted in a public bathroom vs how many underage girls matt gaetz drugged, assaulted, and sex trafficked. they’re both more than 1

I've never claimed protecting women was the reason the Republicans wrote this bill - It does actually protect women though so stopped clocks and all that

Gaetz is just one man. If you think its close then lets see the colour of your money

You’ve acknowledged that Republicans and their voters aren’t interested in protecting women but seem to cling to the idea that Democrats lost those voters because they didn’t do enough to keep women safe. That doesn’t make any sense.

I said the Republicans aren't interested in protecting women, not their voters. The 12 million Democrat voters who didn't turn up for Harris do seem interested and there have been studies showing this

If Republican voters value protecting women why did they vote for someone who has been proven to abuse women? It's antithetical to that value.
