He's gilding the lily with "barely breaking even". Twitter was losing money hand over fist before he bought it, and he has made Twitter's financial performance much worse.

Well, dunno. They'e not stranded in the sense there is no plan to get them back, but the original plan was for a 10 day visit -

And the contingency was to bring them back in Spring 2025 on a SpaceX Dragon. That was the plan back in August 2024 and it's still the plan. Trump and Musk now want you to believe NASA could and should have brought them back sooner, and that they are "stranded" due to the Biden administration's inaction. In fact the delay is due simply to the time it takes SpaceX to build a Dragon spacecraft.
