Merged The razor of Hitchens and the Spirits!

Artificial intelligence is allowed in this forum! You claim that there is no empirical evidence of the existence of spirits, it is because of the limitations of the scientific method, the scientific method of the future will prove the existence of spirits!
Artificial intelligence is allowed to be quoted in this forum on condition you say you're quoting it and you say what you prompted the AI with to get its answer.

Do you understand these conditions?

Artificial intelligence is allowed in this forum!
That doesn't excuse your misuse of it. You are inviting people to engage with your statements, but they aren't your statements; they're just things you copy-paste from an AI. You ask for dialogue, but you are incapable of producing any that involves actual thought.

You claim that there is no empirical evidence of the existence of spirits, it is because of the limitations of the scientific method, the scientific method of the future will prove the existence of spirits!
No, your inability to provide testable evidence for your claims is not a flaw in the scientific method. The job of science is to test claims for reliability. Some will fail, as yours has. As long as all you can offer is speculation, no scientific method will consider that proof.

Thanks

Atoms are largely empty space. It is the nuclear forces which bind them that cause the illusion they are solid things. If the nuclear forces were weaker a train might pass through us without touching us, or we could walk through walls.
I know it is nit-picking, but it is actually the electromagnetic force that gives the feel of solidity.

The medium just said it was my grandmother without her name.
Then you must understand why this would not be proof of mediumship.

But I had a number of messages from her from different mediums over the years I attended spiritualist churches. She knew what was going on in my life and gave me good advice.
Yes, that's how fake mediumship operates, including the newspaper horoscopes.

In the case of a message from my brother that died as a baby the medium did give me his name which was Lawrence. My mother, who had never told me about him and had never been to the church, confirmed this when I asked her.
Just because you didn't know something doesn't mean the professed medium didn't know or have ways of knowing.

Thanks

No. As has been pointed out...
I know it is nit-picking, but it is actually the electromagnetic force that gives the feel of solidity.
Objects fail to pass through one another because the "empty space" is ringed by electrons which repel each other no matter how much empty space is contained within their orbits.

If the nuclear forces were weaker a train might pass through us without touching us, or we could walk through walls.
No, the forces in the nucleus have nothing to do with that.

And no, this is not a nitpick. You're trying to tell us that the wonders of nuclear and subatomic physics can somehow be handwaved to justify or include belief in spirits. The argument seems to be that since the subatomic mechanisms by which such things as vision and touch operate don't directly mimic the macro scale models, science has no business telling anyone what is or isn't the case. But if your understanding of these matters is wrong, then we cannot trust you to properly understand the relationship between laws operating at different scales of observation. Maybe don't lecture people who know the science on what that science does or doesn't show.

What do you think happens after death if there are no spirits?

*Sighs*

I shall be buried in a "green" cemetery; my body will be consumed by a variety of invertebrates and mico-organism until there is nothing left.

If Carrot Flower Queen survives me, she has been instructed to play Van Der Graaf Generator's A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers and Joy Division's Atmosphere.

There.
