Say what now? Where are you getting this view from? In what way am I defending racists?

It was tongue-in-cheek. Look back a few pages and you'll see that ahhell made the same point about white men and women being the only demographic groups that decreased their support for Trump this year compared to 2020 and stated (ironically) that they were racists.

Among many other errors, Democrats resorted to extreme, reckless rhetoric, comparing a perfectly normal political rally in NYC to a Nazi rally, calling opponents of the transgender agenda "transphobic," calling Trump and his supporters "fascists," etc., etc.

Here's a clue for you: People who oppose forcing females to compete against biological males and who believe that minors should not be allowed to get transgender surgery are not "transphobic." They simply feel that it's very unfair to teen girls and women to allow biological males to compete against them, and that it's scientifically unsound and morally wrong to allow a minor to get their genitals irreversibly mutilated, given the fact that we know from a mountain of hard science that the reasoning part of the human brain does not fully develop until ages 21-24.

Calling plain stated facts "extreme, reckless rhetoric" is downright Orwellian

Take your nonsense to the other thread. But thanks for demonstrating how susceptible the willing are to those lies.

Every accusation from them is a confession. In this case, it's immediately proven by their alternative facts-based anti-trans tirade. So weird.

There's something disturbing about being called a pervert and pedophile by someone who wants to go to high school girls sports and look for penis.
...and who supports and vehemently defends a certain known and convicted (orange) sex offender.
But hey, he bragged about barging into the locker rooms of beauty pageant contestants. It all makes sense now, the trumpkins think he was doing a sting to bust trans people.

Biden didn't want to run for President in 2018. But when he looked at the rest of the field, he didn't find anyone who could beat Trump. So he put aside his pride, and committed ten years of his life to being the transition president. I guess, from the Baby Boomers to the Millenials. He played the waiting game hoping a new generation of professional politicians would appear over that decade and take his place in 2028. It never happened, alas.

I guess those four people know nothing about his intentions or the history of the presidency for that matter.
That's absurd hagiography. He ran for the presidency 4 times but only reluctantly that one time? He has never put aside his pride, he's always been quite prickly about it and often made ◊◊◊◊ up to support it.

Come on, the whole you know who else had a rally at Madison Square Garden thing......was a bit much because you know who else had a rally at madison square garden? Everyone, that's who.

I mean, there are a lot of people who embrace statist totalitarianism, nationalization of industry, media censorship, and the purging of undesirables. They're just not always the ones you're used to thinking of as "nazis".

IIRC the analogy to the German-American Bund rally was more about content (e.g. blaming the wretched undesirables of minority ethnicity for the problems of the native born) than about location.

ETA: We've once again strayed into discussion better fitted to the thread about what the GOP did (morally) wrong. My apologies.

I never saw anything that nuanced, mostly I saw, "Trump had a rally at MSG just like the NAZI's". To be fair, I don't recall actual dem pols doing that, mostly a media thing.

yeah, the dems themselves pretty much went out of their way to not even look like they were implying anything but the most mild of criticisms of trump and his supporters, and especially his voters. they mostly spent their time trying to defend themselves from media and republican criticism, from the occasionally legitimate to the most wild and nonsensical lies between trying to convince everyone the economy was better than it was. trump lied his ass off, scammed like crazy, and made it about the trans and deporting immigrant rapists. that worked a lot better. hey, those of you who called it, well done. i never would have imagined that is a winning message but it was.

the media just said whatever. they would 24/7 say joe biden has late stage dementia and that trump was holding nazi rallies chasing ad revenue. social media has been completely hijacked. it's disasterous imo

What channel were you watching?

We must take very seriously those folks who knew him best,” she continued, referring to the numerous former Trump advisers who have broken with him and warned the public that he should not be trusted with power again.

“Do you think Donald Trump is a fascist?” host Anderson Cooper asked Harris.

“Yes, I do. Yes, I do,” she replied.

“I believe that Donald Trump is dangerous,” she continued. “As the president of the United States, the commander in chief, he’s saying to his generals, in essence, why can’t you be more like Hitler’s generals? Come on!”

Harris did not call Trump "Hitler" but rather said the American people "deserve to have a president who encourages healthy debate, works across the aisle, [is] not afraid of good ideas, wherever they come from, but also maintains certain standards about how we think about the role and the responsibility and certainly not comparing oneself in a clearly admiring way to Hitler,” in reference to Trump's reported comments about Hitler.

her commentary. pretty out of control stuff
