What is Farage talking about? The DM is affectionately calling Trump 'The Donald' .and gloating at the 'lib meltdown'. Murdoch is overjoyed. But why? Because a small handful of super-rich crooks who own X/Twitter and half the newspapers and news broadcasters managed to manipulate the man in the street into voting for their own self-harm (yet again). In other news, the DAILY EXPRESS has launched a campaign to SAVE OUR FARMERS (= translated help Dyson, Clarkson and the 30 duke landowners not have to pay any IHT). The DM has doubled down on its irresponsible story that a farmer hanged himself because of Reeves' budget revising the Agricultural Relief Act re IHT. But it turns out the man killed himself the day before the budget was announced. He clearly had a mental health issue, which had nothing at all to do with the budget. DM knows this yet it still whips up a faux campaign suggesting ways farmers can irresponsibly sabotage food supplies and on 19 Nov in the National Union of Farmers planned protest, until Dyson and co get their way.

I honestly think Plato had a point in his The Republic in which the uninformed hoi-polloi don't have a vote (because in our modern version of a State, the average person has no clue or interest in current affairs other than seeing what a small handful of 'celebrities' and 'Royals' are up to) and voting is left to those who know what they are voting for.

He considers the natures of existing regimes and then proposes a series of hypothetical cities in comparison, culminating in Kallipolis (Καλλίπολις), a utopian city-state ruled by a class of philosopher-kings.

Apparently Trump is going to get rid of the Chagos deal and return them to the UK. He will reverse Starmer's treason in giving a\way British territory to China.

That the treaty returning the islands is between the UK and Mauritius and nothing to do with the USA is beside the point.

Also, does anyone really believe Mauritius has defence treaties with India and isn't actually an ally of China?
