The Tim Walz campaign, and the ******** attacks upon him.

Sweet Jesus! Next he'll be mandating that public schools be required to have free toilet paper, soap and paper towels in all bathrooms.

He is also in favor of making sure kids have something to eat at school. Outrageous feeding kids????? That is communism right there.

Exactly, ya stop feeding 'em and they no longer need these 'bathroom' places that don't even have a dang bathtub!!!!!

Pro-tip. Do not feed the trolls. We know the service-related attacks on Walz aren't working and will not work. They know it as well. Let them feed on those facts instead.

Wow, it really is pathetic. The childish nit-picking attacks on Walz, leavened with distortions and outright lies, just because the right can't find any actual flaws to attack.
It really shows how low US Republicans have descended.

Why does Walz need to be defended at all? Why even bother? Let scope and others have this win. The conversation has been circular now for at least a page.

People who think it's stolen valor will never think differently. That's it. You aren't going to change scope, or others of his mindset, from thinking what they already do. If this is the one thing that they can dig up based on a paid article (whether they paid to have it published or got paid) then I say quit letting them make it a big deal.

Move on, Walz has a bunch of great attributes, from being a well loved teacher, to being admired by people he served with. Sounds like a few miserable ***** wants to whine about it. Let 'em.

He doesn't. People easily see right through it. These attacks reflect far more poorly on those attacking Walz. So I don't mind their attacks in the least. I love them reminding the world what kind of sleaze they are. Mud throwers only succeed when it sticks. Otherwise, they lose ground.

So go ahead Scopedog, point out that Governor Walz only  served this nation honorably for only 24 years and not the 26 you seem to think he should have. Please, please talk about how this man who served 7 months as Command Sergeant Major was busted back to Command Master Sergeant only because he decided to serve as a Congressman.

Tell us again why these actions makes him less deserving of our votes than the convicted felon.

What did he convey to the audience? How would you have understood his statement if you were in the audience? That article is part of the reason I made my post.

If you want to play the Snopes game, explain this one:
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/trump-very-fine-people/

People are allowed to disagree with Snopes.

You know, maybe he did mispeak that time and maybe that audience did get the wrong impression.

But, he has openly and frankly discussed his service over the years, without making that small mistake in language before and after that one time.

If this were something he was constantly doing, or didn't admit it and correct it, maybe that would be a thing. But that's not the case.

It's the Republican MAGA thing about taking the littlest thing and blowing it all out of proportion with contant repetition in their echo chamber.

What's funny is that it's literally a verbal stumble.

How often does their guy stick his foot in his mouth and then refuse to correct or even admit his error?

I think it’s just a bit of fun to show how..… weird… these attacks are.

Republicans have always manufactured scandal where there is none. This attack on Walz, though, is not a winning tactic for them.

Perhaps I'm making on topic posts, prolonging the slow death of a discussion forum.

If the message you want me to take from your rhetoric here is: "I posted something generally on-topic", I'd say you're doing fine.

If there is some other message you're trying to convey, maybe not so much.

I also have to point out that it's the senior NCO who really run the freaking Army on a day to day basis. Just ask anybody who has been in the Army.
I admit one of the more amusing things I saw in the US Army was a Master Sergeant with 20 years in put a green Second Looey right out of West Point or OCS in their place all the time addressing them as "sir".

A talent that senior NCOs in many Western militaries share.
