General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

Malaysia has become the first country to issue a travel warning to its citizens visiting the UK, following a week of dangerous and violent protests.

The notice was released via Malaysia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which said it is "closely monitoring the series of riots currently taking place in several areas of the United Kingdom, following the stabbing incident in Sourthport on July 29". Maylasians were urged to register their presence with the country's High Commission in London.

The ministry said: "Malaysians residing in or travelling to the United Kingdom are urged to stay away from protest areas, remain vigilant and follow the latest updates and guidance provided by local authorities."

I'm sure this is an attempt by the far right to bring down a democratically elected government in the UK. What I'm not sure about is whether it's for it's own sake or a dry run to test strategies for the US next year.

It's to put Farage in charge.

A number of right wing twitter accounts are already saying the civil war has started.

Farage is keeping his head down waiting for his moment.

I'm sure Farage thinks it is. I think maybe Badenoch another right wing Tory is the plan

Las week 30p Lee lied about the 'illegal migrant' residents of a hotel. (They were contract nurses)

Today 'protesters' in Rotherham attacked and set on fire a hotel with actual migrants in it.

A connection do you thik?

Definately. But they're useful idiots & disposable.

It underlines a perception noted in the 'Falling IQ in education' thread that the dim gravitate to taking degrees in things such as hospitality and catering.
 You mean areas where there are excellent prospects of employment?

You have been for quite some time.

Seems very strategically well-planned to me. Probably been building up secret cells via Telegram and other encrypted media to be ready to cause civil unrest as soon as there was the next 'Muslim terrorist stabbing'. Problem is, the Southport tragedy had nothing to do with Islamism but it is obvious they have used that as the trigger, making their motive of 'save our children' suspect and disingenuous. This despite the mother of little Elsie Dot telling them to stop.

The tabloids don't help. The DM, BBC and the SUN, etc., were all calling the rioters 'protesters' with the 'protests' caused by the 'stabbings in Southport' as f there is some connection to that and attacking mosques, punching Asian men in the street, ransacking their shops, attacking hotels believed to house asylum seekers and attacking Asian car drivers. Their headlines would be very different were it other types of rioters such as the Poll Tax ones or the Tottenham one.

Re the Donna Commissioner women: it's no surprise to me her comments as police do tend towards the right.

Rishi Sunak's ex-government has to take some responsibility for fanning the hatred, making the divisiveness normalised and acceptable in polite company.

So normal, in fact, people are taking their kids with them as though it was a family outing to the funfair.

Crime Commissioners aren't part of the police. They are political posts that get voted for.

Seems like our Donna is doing her best to commission crime. Perhaps she's not quite understood her role?

That was basically the trajectory of the Tory Party over the last decade & a half, assuming they didn't asxume from the start their role was personal, familial & donor enrichment.

Sums up my current feelings toward far too many of my compatriots right now.

There do be way too many braindead ***** here.

This is not a new thing, but It's not fun when they remind you of the fact so publicly.

As long as they leave the beer alone. Don't p!ss with the beer!

Some observations:

In my experience, no student's union has ever had good beer. Cheap beer? Yes, but good beer? No.

"Don't piss with the beer!" - this is not a thing English speakers say. 'Don't ****1 with the beer' makes sense. 'Don't mess with the beer' makes sense. 'Don't piss in the beer' makes sense, but changes the meaning (although some SU beers may be improved by this action).

But 'Don't piss with the beer!' is nonsensical and wierd.

1a perfectly good anglo-saxon word starting with an 'f', for clarification

ETA: I just noticed that you wrote 'p!ss', not 'piss', which makes the phrase even more meaningless. 'P!ss' is not a word, but it is somewhat pr!ssy.
