Well it was certainly incredibly lucky for him. That's not even 1 in a 1000 shot. It's really 1 in a million.

It is in fact about 1 in 8. There were to my knowledge 8 shots fired, only one hit Trump.

If only 1 shot had been fired it would have been a 1 in 1 chance, since that is where he was hit.
