Merged Trump shot in PA??

As always when something like this happens it makes one wonder why it doesn't happen so much more often. While American politicians and candidates have been shot at, even fatally, in the past it's a rare occurance. Especially when you consider a) how many guns we have around the place, b) how many maniacs we have around the place, and c) how much politics consumes peoples' minds.

Perhaps, despite all the vitriol and raving, as a population we're actually rather well-behaved? Possibly even civilized?

I hope his --and everybody else's-- security gets beefed up. Not the sort of thing we'd like to have more of.
 
If someone was shooting at him, I wonder how they missed the people in the crowd? I have no idea where the shots may have come from, if they were gun shots that is.

There are already people speculating about that. A CO2 powered BB gun can easily penetrate skin, and there have even been a few fatalities from them.

But they lack range. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Plus there is the crowd right behind him. If he was grazed by a "real" bullet, then it might have continued on to the people behind the stand, including that kid. But it didn't look like anyone behind was hit, although we don't yet know the angle that the shot came from

I hate Trump - but this is bad. Very bad. This kind of violence usually results in action opposite of what the shooter was hoping for. This will likely only benefit Trump. And regardless of any political calculation, using violence at this point is just wrong.
 
I knew we could count on some childish, no-class remarks on this site about this. There have been presidents in my lifetime I absolutely couldn't stand to put it mildly, but I wouldn't wish any of them to be shot, fatally or otherwise. Anyway -

The wound doesn't appear life-threatening from what we can tell right now. If he was indeed shot in the head, it must have been a .22. Or hell a BB gun. Very odd.
 
Seriously, if someone needs training in marksmanship I’ll pay for lessons.
Sometimes political violence is needed to secure a democratic republic.
Denying this horrible fact is suicide for free people.
 
I know that as a purported skeptic's site everyone loves to rush to judgment without any evidence but I suggest (pointlessly) that it might be a good idea to wait until facts are retrieved.

This. Doesn't matter if he is anti American to the bone. We don't celebrate this ****. We are not ******* animals.

Without further evidence, I am going to speculate that two drunken MAGAs got in a fight and Trump was an innocent victim caught in the cross fire.
