Steve Bannon Indicted

Stevo doesn't think he'll be pumping any iron while he's locked up. He'll be in the prison library.

weirdly, I was thinking about how he'll probably come out a bit lighter and less puffy red, as he gets a break from booze. I have no idea why I was thinking about this. I ride my bike to work by a bunch of farms so that's my excuse

Indeed. That's what all the delaying tactics were about - brown-nosing Trumpy. Not that the Apricot ********* would do anything to help, of course.

Well, maybe if Bannon wrote one of those sweet million-dollar checks to Trump like other pardonees.

Today's the day. The day Stevo has to report to prison to start serving his four-month sentence.

MAGA loyalist Steve Bannon is dreading his soon-to-be-reality of being housed alongside sex offenders and violent criminals when he reports to prison in Connecticut on Monday, a source close to him told The Daily Beast on Friday. Bannon is set to spend four months at FCI Danbury—a low-level prison in Connecticut where he’ll be housed alongside people convicted of sexual and violent crimes. The source said that’s something Bannon is “quite concerned with.”

Bannon has a separate criminal detainer placed on him related to his pending trial in Manhattan for defrauding supporters of the “We Build the Wall” movement. That means he must report to a low-level federal facility instead of a camp, which is must less strict on inmates and is where Peter Navarro has been since the spring. While Navarro’s biggest pain behind bars is likely sheer boredom and slow communications, a source said Bannon will be on a more rigid day-to-day schedule that has less freedom of movement, stricter check-ins, and will be surrounded by more dangerous criminals. Today around Noon Stevo surrendered himself at the federal Danbury prison and was taken into custody. Associated Press reported:
Speaking to reporters, Bannon called himself a “political prisoner,” said former President Donald Trump was “very supportive” of him and slammed Democrats, including Attorney General Merrick Garland. “I am proud of going to prison,” Bannon said.

Shortly before he arrived to surrender, a small group of supporters gathered on the side of the road outside the prison. They cheered as Bannon and GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia spoke during a news conference, holding up flags and signs supporting Bannon as a small group of protesters shouted, “Lock him up!” and “traitor!” Associated Press news link

emotyg reportedly got po'd when a anti-Bannon protester held up a sign mocking empyg.

Wonder how Bannon slept last night? ;)

In all seriousness, he might be having a rough time for a while -- not that he'd ever admit it publicly -- being suddenly cut off from alcohol and drugs. I have a hunch he got massively wasted Sunday.
