They haven't been removed as tory candidates (effectively de-selected), they have they just lost tory funding for their campaigns.

Given the closing date for nominations has passed, it's too late to deselect them. But the dithering over removing approval is still a bad look.
 
Reform are attacking the Tory and Labour candidates in Clacton for criticising Farage for not attending the Hustings in the constituency.
He's too busy on his paid speaking tour apparently.
It shows what the voters of Clacton can expect of him if he wins.

Apparently saying this is election manipulation and 'playing politics'

Do they know how an election campaign actually actually works?

What do they expect from the man who said, denying he would be standing, "Do I want to be an MP. Do I want to spend every Friday for the next five years in Clacton?" to The Times in February.

I've been listening to Russell Jones's new book "Four Chancellors & a Funeral", it ends in Jan 23 with UKIP basically defunct & Farage reduced to doing £60 video messages (including ones for the IRA & Led by Donkeys), as you say, how quickly things change...

According to Phil Moorhouse it's been revealed that Sunak knew about Craig Williams, and Williams admitted placing the bet, a week before the story broke. That's three weeks ago (less one day) and had he acted immediately the candidate could have been replaced on the ballot at that time.

A thought occurred, could the information about the date of the election have been classed as an Official Secret until it was officially announced?

A second thought. I live in High Wycombe, and have done all my life. The constituency turned Tory in 1951 (I think) when I was a child. I have voted in every Parliamentary election that has been held since then, and so have never voted for the person elected. I intend to vote Labour (who I think stand a reasonable chance of winning). Should I do so and risk spoiling my long held record? (Rhetorical question of course)

I tweeted @Keir_Starmer on Twitter (x) and told him if he introduces a blasphemy law against islamophobia, as he has stated he may, both for personal attacks and online attacks on Islam . Then I for one am willing to risk imprisonment by continuing to criticize the Quran regardless of his law.
