Is it also your opinion that diesel fuel requires high pressure to be ignited, or that the floor in the second video was sloped the wrong way? Making a false claim isn't magically rectified by declaring that your opinion is that it's true.

As I later concurred, the slope was an optical illusion because of perspective.

The make, model and year of the vehicle has not been released. The stuff about 'probably an electrical fault in the engine bay' is what an AA boff opined 11 Oct 2023, so not 'new information', either.

Bear in mind, early hybrid models were listed by DVLA as diesel or petrol powered, so despite being registered as 'diesel' - if indeed it was a 2014 model - that does not preclude it having a mild lithium battery.

I do not see why the vehicle model is exempt from FOI disclosure. So I shall await the report to understand why it is exempt and why the fire in the video looks like a lithium one.

You are not competent to determine by looking at a video whether the fire depicted is being fueled by a lithium ion battery. The indicators you claim tell this to you are not observed by any other person.

Your opinion of the character of the fire in your convenience sample of video is irrelevant because competent authority has confirmed officially that the car was powered by diesel and not by any sort of battery.

You are clearly not waiting for the report to insinuate that competent authority in this case is lying and continues to lie about the fuel source of the vehicle. You disingenuously refuse to reconcile this insinuation.

Following the fire at London Luton Airport terminal car park 2 on the 10 October 2023, a multi-agency investigation is currently being conducted. At this time, we can confirm the vehicle involved was a diesel-powered vehicle. To further clarify it was neither a fully electric vehicle (EV), a mild hybrid electric vehicle (MHEV) nor a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). More information on the incident and cause of the fire will be released once the investigation has been concluded.
