A spokesman for the company responded: "We checked out all 400 of them and thought they all looked right up your street."

They paid £144k up front to a company without any due diligence as to who owns the company etc.

The company "delivered absolutely nothing", but Reform decided to put the candidates forward anyway and they only noticed when called out about it in an interview on TV.

Have I read that right?

Just a week or so ago when called out about having to apologise for a nazi sympathiser standing as candidate Okenshott said

"Of course the party does 'basic vetting.' But no party can afford to excavate every single thing every one of their candidates has ever posted on any public or semi public platform ever. Get real."

Vetting.com do not do the vetting. They provide the platform for people to do their own vetting.
A quick look at their FAQs would have told them that.

So Reform has attracted candidates at very short notice with a history of BNP, NF, UKIP and Hitler-worshipping ...? I am shocked! Shocked, I tell you...

Whoops! Even sheep hate him.

Ha funny! They are bloody stupid creatures, easily spooked, they mindlessly rush to follow the leader no matter what direction they go and what danger lies in their way. Sheep on the other hand ..

I will be very interested indeed to see if Nige'n'Dicky do actually take some legal action against the vetting company, rather than just mouthing off in a blowhard manner like they usually do.

I mean, they'd never consider any form of action against fascist lovers they've accepted into their party errrr, limited liability company...Aaaaah, I see my error there: sorry.

Its not completely ineffective though. They seem to have AI bots on social media posting about how great the countryside was in the past, and Reform are great if you want things like that again. Considering where they started, and their complete lack of tangible policies that might work, this seems to be an effective tactic. Relatively speaking.

Hmm, why does “Make Britain Great Again” sound so familiar?

Interesting story in today's i paper.

Prominent candidate says that Stalin would have been proud of the NHS targets and that Sunak as Chancellor harmed NHS waiting lists by refusing to increase the numbers of doctors training places.

Interesting because the politician was Jeremy Hunt

Reform say they may report Good Morning Britain to Ofcom as the hosts were "biased" in their interviewing as they questioned Farage.

It seems to me Farage ducked out of what he thought would be tough TV interviews and went for one he thought would be lightweight on breakfast TV.

Is it me or do Refuk really not like it when they’re expected to answer questions rather than simply shout abusive slogans?

So what? Does that mean that smart people should be prohibited from betting as their greater intelligence gives them an "unfair" advantage?

No but people who have certain private knowledge of an event or can affect the outcome of that event should. Just like footballers aren't allowed to gamble on matches, MPs shouldn't be allowed gamble on elections. Do you think that Rish!'s PPS didn't know the exact date of the election before betting on July?

Definitely not just you: I've heard several Reformplc bods and not one has answered a question, just spouted more nonsense. Some are more abusive than others.

Snag is the not actually answering questions is the norm for political interviewees of which ever stripe.

Reform claiming that the swing in Clacton from the Conservative Party to Reform UK is 43.5 per cent. Smashing electoral records.

They are basing this on a private pill posted by Aaron Banks, one of the Reform founders.

Other polls show Labour leading and Reform barely showing.

Telegraph swinging in behind Reform

Nigel Farage has emerged victorious in the battle of the manifestos
Reform offers tax hope, not pain – unlike the Tories and Labour

After the underwhelming launches of the Conservative and Labour manifestos last week, Nigel Farage and Richard Tice produced a “contract” that has much to offer disillusioned supporters of either parties in the new leftist centre ground...

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/tax/reform-credible-tax-cuts-tories-labour-increase-bills/

As Reform Ltd. are a registered company, could their 'contract' be enforced?

Askin' for a friend.

Farage has admitted he has no plan for achieving any of it because he knows he's not going to be in a position to form a government.

He can promise anything he wants.

Oh dear, another Tory candidate being racist and telling lies - https://www.theguardian.com/politic...histle-tactics-against-rival-with-indian-name

Tl;dr Racist = pointing out to constiuents of Kashmiri Muslim backgrounds that an opponent is called Kumar, i.e. an Indian Hindu or Sikh name.

Lying = claiming to speak up for Kashmir when no record exists of him having mentioned it in his official capacity as an MP.

Well played that man! Good to see that traditional British imperialist divide and rule tactics are still in use.
