Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton decides that Democrats don't have enough problems and posts the dumbest Tweet in history: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...its-comments-to-hide-from-outrage/ar-BB1nM0Pk
This is what she tweeted:
Eighty years ago today, thousands of brave Americans fought to protect democracy on the shores of Normandy.
This November, all we have to do is vote.
Predictably, the right-wing outrage machine is in full force. But, Hillary Clinton is right. All we have to do to defend democracy is vote for someone who will actually defend our democratic institutions, including the peaceful transfer of leadership by the losing candidate. All we have to do is vote for someone who has not declared he'll stack the government with personal loyalists, pardon convicted criminals because they're political allies, and who would not "seek revenge... except on Day One".
Just last night I was watching part one of a 6 part Netflix series, Hitler and the Nazi: Evil on Trial which dealt with the rise of Hitler. As my husband and I were watching it, we couldn't help but remark on the similarities between Trump and Hitler. Like Trump, we noted how Hitler was able to delude millions of people into putting into power a man who
anddisplayed symptoms of a narcissistic personality disorder. Additionally, a research team at the University of Colorado in 2007 found that Hitler showed traits of paranoia, anti-social, sadistic, and narcissistic personality disorders.
Early on, the view was also expressed that Hitler was able to handle his psychopathology skillfully, and was aware of how he could use his symptoms to effectively steer the emotions of his audience.
According to Murray, the adult Hitler was a "counteractive type," by which he meant a person primarily motivated by resentment and revenge in response to prior narcissistic wounding and profound feelings of inferiority. Pathological narcissism is in part a compensatory defense against these painful wounds and inferiority feelings. There is no question that Hitler's personality included pathological narcissism or what I have called psychopathic narcissism (see my prior post), and may have met modern diagnostic criteria for narcissistic personality disorder.
Trump also displays many, if not all, the symptoms above that Hitler displayed. That Trump supporters cannot see what is right in front of their faces is a testament to the adage "Those who do not learn from the experience of history are doomed to repeat it."
