Out driving today, I noticed a slew of vehicles parked along the roadside. As I came up to a light, I saw it was changing to red, so I turned down a side-street. And the same thing applied on the side-street--cars parked nearly everywhere. Then I started noticing the Trump 2024 and Let's Go Brandon stickers and realized it was Trump's rally. Not sure if it means a lot but these cars were parked over a half-mile away from the megachurch where he was speaking. On a day where the temperatures soared over 110 F. Impressive devotion, not so much impressive common sense; the local news is reporting that 11 or more attendees needed to be taken to the hospital with heat-related problems.

Getting heat stroke to own the libs.

you guys rail on immigrants but the right turns down a border bill that gives them everything just so they have something to complain about and then act like biden has done nothing to try and appeal to them. he doesn’t talk about guns, isn’t that checking some boxes? funds israel

even with the religious right, he’s a practicing Catholic but they went with the amoral rapist that hates his family. how does biden win them over?

Totally voting for Biden, so I think I am persuadable. To be fair, I'd vote for a wet paper bag if it were running against Trump. I could imagine voting for Trump....if he were running against; Pol Pot, Stalin, Marx, Hitler? If it were Mussolini or Pinochet, I'd have to think about it.

This is the thing, the Dems have given up on persuading.

I with you although I would call it voting against Trump rather than for Biden. However you and I must understand that just because we've dumped Trump, doesn't necessarily mean that we'll find ourselves comfortable or welcome among the Democrats.

i mean, of course. it’s not like you’re becoming a democrat. you don’t even like biden and he’s pretty moderate so you’re not likely to find some common ground just because the guys you used to like stop caring about you.

I've got a news flash for you: There exists no candidate that wouldn't be a flawed candidate. The perfect candidate doesn't exist.

As far as your opinion that Biden has "obvious senility" you're obviously entitled to it, but I'll take it with a dump truck full of salt. Randos on the internet offering medical diagnoses is not something to be taken seriously.

As far as what Biden has going for him, you forgot to mention a historically successful presidency. We are leaps and bounds better off now than we were when Trump left office. Does that mean everything's perfect and that we still don't have problems? Of course not. But Biden has demonstrated a willingness to address our problems and has been remarkably successful in doing so. When he took office, this country was an active dumpster fire. It's sort of miraculous that we've rebounded as much as we have.

Clearly, this isn't good enough for you, and that's fine. But when you act like Biden has nothing going for him other than not being Trump and ignore everything he's achieved during his presidency, it just comes across as partisan contrarianism unrooted in reality or rational thought.

Well said and a post I concur with. Anyone who has known someone with senility/dementia/Alzheimer's knows that Biden is not "senile". He does show normal age-related memory problems, which especially affect the ability to recall information quickly. He has not forgotten the information which someone with senility does but can't bring it as quickly to mind as when younger. My husband and I both get frustrated watching Jeopardy at times because we know the answer to a question, but can't remember the exact title, name, or event quickly enough and instead, we'll start to describe it or pause the show for a few seconds until it pops into our head.

Trump's problem, on the other hand, is not necessarily recall, but making ridiculous statements that make no sense: 18th century soldiers taking over airports, windmills causing cancer, and long, rambling, virtually incoherent word salads. At times, it's not clear whether he's just flat out lying or has really forgotten something: "I never said 'Lock Her Up'." Confusing one person's name with another is normal, but to do it several times in a row with people well-know to you is not normal: Calling Nancy Pelosi "Nikki Hayley". THOSE are far more concerning.

Hopefully he won't messy up Melania with Putin

Yes, very surprising. Whenever I tell a group of people that I am begrudgingly joining them even though I still think they suck, I'm always greeted with open arms.

You'd think a BILLIONAIRE could afford to rent an air-conditioned venue.

Personally, if I were a conservative or right-leaning, I’d be more upset with what Republicans are offering me than with a party that I’m definitionally not aligned with for not catering to me. But then I wouldn’t get to blame Democrats for everything, so I see your point.

I would but they aren't conservative anymore, there's no hope for the GOP until Trump dies. So, I have hope for the dems and they disappoint.

Prior to trump I had a choice between a party that was wrong and a party that was right but lying. Now what do I have? A party that is wrong and lying and a party that is honest but awful? Honestly, I'm small c conservative and small l libertarian, this **** sucks!

But, Trump sucks more, I just wish the Dems had something better than a senile old man.

The other thing, I know one guy who thinks trump doesn't suck. I know tons of folks that think Biden doesn't suck, there are folks on this forum acting as though Biden is actually a great candidate, talking as though he isn't a notorious liar. WTF? That blows my mind.

ETA: Maybe its because I was raised by NY Irish. One of my dad's lessons: His mom tells him not to trust politicians, pops ask, "what about uncle tommy?" Is mother, "Trust him when he's your uncle but not when he's a politician." So, trust not in princes.

Democrats didn’t rob you of choice. Republicans did. Democrats didn’t let you down by abandoning their stated principles. Republicans did. Democrats aren’t forcing you to vote for Biden. Republicans are.

If you sincerely want a viable option that more appeals to your sensibilities, maybe start holding Republicans accountable for their catastrophic failures that created this situation instead of blaming Democrats for not being more to your liking.

A solid argument could be made that since Clinton, Democrats have worked to become the New Republican Party in their politics, and as a reaction, Republicans have moved further and further to the right ( or it was in the reverse order, depends on your point of view).

Any contemporary Republican looking for traditional Republican policies is 100% at home with the Democrats.

Which tells us that policies not a consideration for voters - it's feelings.

i don’t think hoping the democrats will drop biden and run a small c conservative and small l libertarian is reasonable. reality is he’s competently enacting the democrats agenda in an impossible situation where the opposition party is trying to destroy the government. i think democrats are happy with that. i get that you’re not but why would you be?

Indeed! That's happening to my wife and myself, as we both push towards 70 years old.

This is Trump 24/7. With no memory of the past, and no heed for the future, his responses are pretty much this. All he is doing is filling dead silences with his own voice, on the expectation that everyone will bow down to him and accept his ramblings as words of truth and gospel. Because nobody has ever told him he is ******* moron where he was forced to listen.

How many of you would let Biden drive your Uber?

I again feel compelled to comment on the drop off in quality of conservative trolling this forum has experienced. Their guy gets catches almost three dozen felony convictions and the best they can do is “But do you think Biden can navigate rush hour traffic and get you to the airport on time?”. It’s sad to see.
