Ya...another cartoon thread....leave now if you are cartooned out...

Meanwhile a conspiracy is in the making...
February 08, 2006 at 15:47:52 PST

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) - The Associated Press protested Wednesday the misleading inclusion of an AP photograph in a pamphlet purporting to show images offensive to Islam.

The picture shows a bearded man wearing fake pig ears, a pig nose, and a pink embroidered cap on his head. He was wearing the costume while participating in a pig-squealing contest at an annual festival in a farm village in southern France last summer.

The photo had no connection with Islam or the caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad published in a Danish newspaper in September.

A blurry, black-and-white copy of the picture was included in a brochure that a delegation of Danish Muslim leaders carried on a Mideast tour to Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and Turkey, in December and January.
So the Danish Muslim leaders...

FAKED

....one of the images in this so-called brochure on a Mideast tour. It wasn't an image of a muslim it was a frenchman at a pig-squealing contest. I smell a conspiracy to incite.

Does anyone know where a copy of this brochure is on the net?

Am I alone in being kinda creeped out by that picture?

Anyway, the more important story is: what the hell is a French pig-squealing contest?!

So ... let's see if I've got this right.

These guys ... took a photograph ... of man man with a beard wearing a pig costume ... and went around saying "that's Muhammad, that is" ...

They did what?

Now, I'm ony an amateur mullah, as you know, but I call fatwa on their apostate arses.

Oh, wouldn't that be sweet.

Pig-squealing contests are huge in France, it was all inspired by the American movie "Deliverance". They even have a guy dressd as a hillbilly yelling (in a french-southern-drawl accent no less) "squeal like a pig!" to each contestant. Some of these contests draw 50,000+ spectators.

Is there anything else you need to know? ;)

Thanks! Er....ahhh...Mange tak!

Better questions are... why was an image of a Frenchman included into the brochure by Danish Muslim leaders? What else was misinformation in the brochure that they took across the middle east. And if they knowingly faked the image in the brochure then they are guilty of conspiracy.

The conspiracy leads to...

Hebron.

What better way to force the (mainly Scandinavian) Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) to leave? Which they have just decided to do, in the face of Palestinian violence.

(Reprint of a Jerusalem POST article)

A Palestinian Imam, (from Denmark) Ahmed Abdel Rahman Abu Laban, is directly responsible for the fabrication.

Probably in line with a distance spitting contest (true), a belching contest (true), a farting contest(?), a greased pig catching contest (true), a hot dog eating contest (uggh).

You name it. Someone does it.

Yes.

How do you know that?

Quite so.

Now, the photograph per se is not offensive, except possibly to the diginty of the French nation. What is offensive is the claim that it is a representation of the Prophet Muhammad.

Which was made by whom?

Right.

I say that all right-thinking Muslims should jihad 'em in the nuts 'til they lose all interest in virgins.

It would be of some value if the journalists on the major newspapers and wire services & networks, especially al_jazeera, brought this story out into the bright daylight and had Jacques Barrot appear in front of the media openly and declare his intention to SUE that Imam Ahmed Abdel Rahman Abu Laban.

I am sure that it would be fascinating to see the reaction of Abu Laban in a court of law (not to mention the positive effect in the court of public opinion to see how this whole thing really started).

Just a thought...

And right here in America. Hell, they had a gobbling contest in my company's breakroom at Thanksgiving!

'Course, since pork is forbidden by the Muslim religion, Muhammed portrayed as a pig would be quite offensive.

Not just as a pig, but as a French pig. That must drive them nuts.

What does a pig say in French, anyway?

Uh, question. This is from that web page:
Viste pædofil Muhammed

Imamer rejste rundt i Mellemøsten med langt mere provokerende billeder end Jyllands-Postens tegninger. Se dokumentation her

Does the phrase "paedofil Muhammed" mean what I think it means?
