Criminal Charges Against Trump / Trump Indicted / Hush Money Part III

I'm actually looking forward to whatever garbage he post to TS in the next 12 hours or so. Will he finally cross a line the can not be ignored such as outright calling for harm to the judge, DA and or jury members? Will the conviction be enough to push him over the edge and he forgets to use mob coding in his messages?

You can bet on that, no doubt he will triple over his brazen statements, he is incapable of back-tracking or staying calm.

Trump should be found guilty but I think one Juror will end up letting him off. The only thing people on the fence will take away is that he wasn't guilty and it was a witch hunt after all and that, along with the economy and Gaza, has me worried Trump will be reelected in November.

I have never been so happy to be wrong.

GUILTY!

I've said before that one of the deep, scary things about Trump is that we've had absolute horrible trainwreck Presidents before but none of them; not Bush, not Nixon, did we ever had a valid, deep fear that would sprint away to Russia in the middle of the night and tell Putin state secrets in exchange for protection.

Dubya might have been a walking disaster, but none of us ever had valid worries that he would turn traitor.

And this is a very good reason why he should be thrown directly in the clink on July 11.

What is it with you? Pointing out the reality of the situation is not being a Debbie Downer. I do not believe in celebrating victory until the game is over. If anyone here is being a PITA it's you.

Disagree, you celebrate the touchdowns then you celebrate the win. This was a significant touchdown.

//slight hijack//

It's 2024. Why do we still do courtroom sketches? Hell why did we EVER do them? We know what a trial looks like.

I give up. If you all need to stay negative, then knock yourselves out. I'm going to celebrate the POS being convicted.

ETA: Being convicted of 34 felony counts is not a "legal technicality" for god's sake.

This is a new money maker for him. His fans are throwing money at poor, poor trump.

It's a touchdown against an opponent has already declared he doesn't care who wins the game, his supporters are going to rush the field and take the trophy regardless.

This is exactly zero percent difficult to understand.

This is a "system" win against someone who isn't following "the system."

But you are reacting as though MAGA supporters are going to decide the election--they are not. Independents will, and the few in the GOP who were on the fence. This is a big deal.

I also still half way stand behind my joking but not joking prediction that getting convicted, going through the appeals process, losing all the appeals, making a thousand and one stupid side problems all related to keeping an ex-President in custody, having to make new rules and regulations, having to make new security policies, having to probably build a new type of prison in in a process that drags on years... and then dying like the 2nd or 3rd week into his sentence is EXACTLY the kind of ******** Trump would pull.

So, he's officially a felon now? Does that mean he can't vote in the election? If he really is a Florida resident isn't that one of the things? I seem to recall Florida being unfriendly to convicted felons.

Maybe this was already covered earlier but why does it take over a month for sentencing?

Because I've never loved a woman, a parent has never loved their children, Renfield didn't love Dracula as much as our legal system loves its process.

This isn't dotting the "i". This is filing the proper forms 3 weeks in advance to announce the motion that you intend to dot the "i".

well i’m a debbie downer and i think it’s great. now the court has to do their part and make it count

**** that bitch

I agree. I don't see him being convicted as helping him in the general election. There's a lot of decent people out there -- leaving aside the magamutts -- who don't follow this stuff that closely but they're not going to like this. Vote for this guy to be president again? It feels wrong.

So funny story we actually had a ballot to change the state constitution to allow felons to vote, it passed with overwhelming support like 3 years ago, and our Republican Governer basically went "LOL no still not doing it" and everybody forgot about it.

Well, there is no guarantee it will harm him. It might even help him. Probably not, he has all the publicity he wants anyway, but so far he has been very good in turning lemons into a lemonade.

Interesting detail in the Biden's speech .. it will change nothing .. Trump will be Republican candidate. Sure, Trump doesn't care he's convicted. But don't Republicans care either ? I guess they don't but it's nice thing to point out.

Find me one, just one Trump supporter this changes their mind. I'll wait.

Yes, it's a very big deal and a win. But, apparently, celebrating Trump's conviction and not being negative makes us a PITA.
