Sadly, its not horse ****. I dont know of anyone who is actually excited about Biden and a 2nd term. We just think it wont be as lousy as Trump.

The Trumpets in their little bubbles seriously underestimate how much people hate Trump. They always whine, "There is no way there were 81 million people who like Biden that much," but they never consider, there is easily 81 million people who can't stand trump, no matter how many rallies he has with 3000 people attending.

You don't have to love or be excited about Biden to complete abhor the alternative.

Trump wants to argue that he relied on legal counsel who gave him bad advice. This requires Trump to waive attorney-client privilege. It requires him to disclose all communications with counsel, so that a comprehensive picture of his dealings with counsel can be inspected. It also requires Trump to testify. It was "disallowed" by the judge only because Trump wants to mount that affirmative defense without stipulating to its requirements or presenting testable evidence in favor of it. He just wanted to insist that he received bad advice from counsel.

In order to prove a criminal conspiracy, it is not necessary to show the absence of other crimes.

As has been pointed out numerous times, outrage among the Trump cult seems to be that they are just now finding out how things work.

Friday is a likely day for the verdict - Jurors want to be done before the weekend.
That Is unless there is an obstructionist

Never mind that none of that is true. It's not that Merchan didn’t allow an advice of counsel defense. It's that the judge would not allow that type of defense to be mounted at the last moment. It is something you have to tell the judge early so Trump and his attorneys can be deposed Trump tactics are always based on deception and delay.

And as you see, that type of defense requires the defendant to waive two attorney client privilege and their Fifth Amendment right not to testify. Neither of which Trump was prepared to waive.

Trump would have to get up on the stand. And say what? That his lawyers said it was OK to have sex with Stormy Daniels? So he screwed her? Or that his lawyers told him that paying hush money to a porn star was ok? Or that he could ignore FEC laws? Or that he could create a false paper trail in his books?

Trump is such a whiny little bitch when his strategy doesn't work.

It sounds to me from the things I have heard Trump has said that he fully expects to be found guilty.

"Mother Teresa couldn't have avoided this prosecution."

Then again, if Mother Teresa would have had sex with Stormy Daniels, that would have been....video somewhere.

My guess is they will return with a verdict tomorrow. Maybe even today. This really isn't that hard. But neither of us really has a clue about this.

It will be very interesting. Trump's reaction if they find him guilty is likely to be very bad.

Returning a verdict today or tomorrow would signal for me that it was pretty easy to find him guilty. It will take a while to address all 34 (?) counts specifically.

If Thursday evening rolls comes with no verdict, I'm getting more and more worried there is a holdout who won't budge.

Yeah, that's the challenge. But those counts are repeat charges for each and every false document. Once you determine the first check is a false document, the following checks are a given. Once you determine the first ledger entry is false, the rest of them can be considered false. As well as the the invoices.

There are basically only four things for the jury to decide.

1. If the checks are false documents.
2. If the journal entries are false documents.
3. If the invoices are false documents.
4. If the false documents were intended to hide other illegal activities.
