If trump has SS protectiion, who pays to transport them? if trump has them at all times, they would be the equivalent of ankle bracelet. But of course Trump has then a New York crime. Where he does not live. I guess 30 days in jail will have to do.

My understanding is the prosecution's closing lasted four and a half hours. They methodically went over every document, every testimony. Every tweet, every relevant campaign speech. Everything. The defense tried to make it all about Cohen. The prosecution made it all about the corroborating evidence. They built a timeline. They showed Trump’s signature on documents that specifically said it was a reimbursement. Trump sued Stormy Daniels for violating the NDA and his lawyers in that case said it was a reimbursement.

i also think it hurts them that the defense claims the only guy telling the truth wouldn't take the stand. it's his word vs theirs, and he didn't go on the record.
 
Daniel Sitko and Robert Costello testified for the defense. Surely the defense lawyers thought they were truthful?

But yes, I was extremely disappointed that Trump did not testify.

i would argue they were called to refute cohen, not support trump’s version

but yes i agree they would consider their testimony truthful. i could have been more clear on what i meant

I suppose one thing the (your?) country (or at least the sane residents of the country) could learn is that everyone, including mentally deficient ex-presidents, is subject the laws of the country. Trump himself, as with many of his supporters, does not have the mental capacity to learn anything from this trial.

Sitko yes. As we was only testifying to establish a number of phone calls to and from Robert Costello to Michael Cohen.

Costello on the other hand was proven to be a snake in the grass. Untrustworthy and unethical.
 
Trump should be found guilty but I think one Juror will end up letting him off. The only thing people on the fence will take away is that he wasn't guilty and it was a witch hunt after all and that, along with the economy and Gaza, has me worried Trump will be reelected in November.

If election was today, Trump would win.

People love Trump. Nobody loves Biden.
 
So how does it technically work in terms of timeframe?
Let's say it takes the jury a few days, does everyone have to be on standby to immediately return to court?
From the moment the media is informed that the jury has come to a verdict, how much time can/will pass until the court is back in session?

That varies from judge to judge and case by case. There are cases where it happens in minutes and others where it might take hours. Judges have other duties. They are going to give enough time for the parties of a case to reassemble in the court room.
