Merged Protests disrupt college campuses / Campus Protests

I know at least one person who was raising a family while attending Columbia as an undergrad. Not sure what you are getting at.

My wife is actually looking to submit her application to their MBA program. I'm pretty sure the 2 little chaos engines in our house are our children.

1 person? Well, I have to say that while I was at university, I knew a few but if you're willing to stand by the idea that these women in that one clip were parents then I'll agree that things must have changed. Surprised they didn't bring their kids to the protest.

Is your wife willing to sign up for a red role with plans on getting herself arrested for the cameras and so she can complain about the trauma of the whole experience the next day?

What does that have to do with a fundraiser for frat boys to have a keg party? When all you have is a hammer . . .

They're up to $440K $460K now. There doesn't seem to be a lot of fraud on GoFundMe so I expect these guys will be holding their kegger at a five star resort in the Bahamas.

Expelled or fired form your university? Hate that colonial fascist White majority country that you're currently stuck in? Well my friend, salvation awaits in a country that not only knows how to deal with those pesky Jews but can fast track you into working against capitalism and building a future paradise under such notable leadership group as HAMAS, the Houthis and Hezbollah.

Iran's internationally renowned Shiraz University to grant scholarships to expelled pro-Palestine students in US, Europe

Don't just play at being a revolutionary, become one. :)

We do seem to take advantage of every opprtunity to look awful.

White people are WEIRD. They're the only group with an out-group preference. No greater example of a luxury belief than a White person trying to score virture points by pooh-poohing other White people.

Sadly, I have found 100% proof that some of the college protests are indeed anti-Jewish.

At SVA in NY, one of the demands of the protestors is that the college sever all ties with the 100 year old Jewish student group known as Hillel. Hillel does foster trips to Israel and Israel cultural events, but Hillel is mostly about getting Jewish kids involved in religious and cultural things, Passover seders, Sabbath events. Giving Jewish kids a place to feel they belong.

Targeting Hillel absolutely crosses the line into pure anti-Semitism. Shame on these kids for their hate and their ignorance.

Dude, you've been told several times to drop this. If you really can't understand what was written there despite the few spelling errors, I'd suggest the problem lies within you.

Came the Dawn as the expression goes.
This has been going on for months.
Basically ANY connection with Isreal in any form, even if it does not involve any contact with the Israeli Govenrment, is now evil.
I can tell you about some worse examples then that..like the
Jewish Women are too ugly to be raped comment.

I note that they put Israeli in scare quotes. "Israeli" companies and "Israeli" aggression. Based on that and combined with the rest of the wording it's quite obvious that they are almost certainly driven by fanatical hatred of Israel. The kind of fanaticism that is typically indistinguishable from antisemitism. The kind that openly praise Hamas terrorists for murdering Israeli (or "Israeli") peace activists. Even using the name of the country is almost too much for these people.

Note that Iranians and those allied with them as wells as other extreme Israel haters often refuse to mention Israel by name, especially when speaking to a domestic audience. The more media savy ones typically try to mask their insane virulent hatred of Israelis when their speech is aimed at foreign press.

Instead of calling it by its real name they speak of "the zionist entity" and other euphemisms.

I’m no fan of Peterson, but that was both funny and correct. And IMO it’s going to take a lot more than that to balance out the brain rot on the left and the right.

I don't think it was meant to be funny, I think it was meant to be a diagnosis. Besides, if it was "correct" then it is likely to be so on the law of averages. Most of them are probably teenagers.

Of course it's correct, at least the childless part. It'd be spectacular statistically if it wasn't.

Calling them harpies is almost a tautology.

I'll admit it wasn't that funny, but the old-timey Biden-like language of harpy is worth something. And calling them childless reminded me of that poster who used to come on here and rant about "childless Eurpoeans" all the time.

Historically, student protests have seldom be wrong about their causes.

I'd like to see the data on this. I suspect a selection effect where the student protest movements we remember are the ones that were successful, and likelihood of being successful is influenced by being in the right.

I wasn't talking about being successful, I was talking about being acknowledged to be morally right, historically.

Anti-segregation, anti-War (in particular Vietnam), anti-racism, anti-apartheid versions of Occupy, pro-LGBTQ, etc. etc.

Their impact was delayed, but they did create the Moral Baseline we now generally hold to be the norm.

It would be unusual if down the line we wouldn't think the Anti-war in Gaza protests were morally right, and those who opposed them wrong.
