Do you think famine and starvation is an acceptable outcome until Hamas surrrenders?

Do you agree with Bibi the Butcher, that only the minimal amount of aid should reach the people of Gaza, or do you agree with 70% of Israelis that NO aid should reach Gaza till all hostages are free?

Funny, nobody complains about the Arabs committing genocide against their Jewish residents, I can only assume its because they succeeded 70 years ago.

I don't see any campus protests against the Chinese committing Genocide, or the Sudanese, not even the Russians.

And of course, if the Israelis really wanted to genocide the Palestinians, they would have done it already. Ethnic Cleansing, appartheid, etc sure reasonable but genocide, pretty loose definition of genocide.

Question nobody has answered: are people morally right to engage in protest and civil disobedience and non-violent resistance, due to the Israeli crimes in Gaza and America's funding of these crimes?

Answer: Yes. Absolutely.

Its soo morally correct that many Jewish people are involved, especially at college campuses in NY.

Almost all of them MOVED to Israel and Europe. Many by choice, some due to loss of rights and intimidation.

How many Jews faced starvation and mass-destruction of their homes in the Arab states in 1940????

There's like three other threads for discussing that side of things.

This is a thread about the on-campus protests. Regardless of how you feel about the conflict, these protests are a classic example of cargo-cult activism. Throwing a temper tantrum rather than doing real work for real change.

Israel is commiting terrible war crimes and demanding that their colleges divest from all Israeli interests is a good and decent objective. Would send a very strong message to Israel that their behavior is simply unacceptable.

They are not allowing a pro Israel protester from entering the pro Palestine encampment. Is that supposed to be a shock? Why does he have to walk through the pro Palestine encampment to get the class? Dont be Soo naive, Stout.

On another note, if this kid was really serious about what he was doing he would demand the right to go to class and push his way through. He is clearly full of ****. It's all for the cameras and he got his Fox news story.

"I take the same path to class every single day and when I got there it was blocked off by these students" Not the unmasked people walking by behind the blockaders which indicates that the idea Eli was trying to enter a protest encampment is false. Eli explains why he didn't push his way through.

What HAMAS did on Oct. 7th is irrevelent in the virw of a lot of people here.
The atttmpsts I have been seeing on some messages boards to proclaim the moral superority of HAMAS are silly. Only reason Hamas not kill ten of thousands of Israleis is they did not have the firepower..

Nope. The protests here on the PSU campus are actively destroying the commons, and aren't sending even a weak message to Israel, because PSU is not meaningfully invested in the Israeli economy. It's all just self-indulgent and anti-social nonsense. And yes, I'm sure they're all chanting the cargo-cult litany to themselves, that vandalizing the school library and canceling classes sends a "very strong message" to Israel.
