In the last Stormont election nearly 60% of their vote transferred to nationalist parties, and that's a trend that's been holding for a few elections now.

And given their policy positions, essentially "we must fix NI. Don't mention the border poll!", are strongly unionist albeit substance if not messaged as such. If a border poll were ever called, they'd end up as a party with loads of leaders but no voters.

I've never been in a Jewish court but the RC (the old Supreme Roman Rota) one was excessively formal, plenty of wood and everything in Latin (it was worse than Commons as an undergrad). A good policy. One that most of the inhabitants of Norn Iron, except the extremes of the horseshoe, seem to support. That's why they're attracting support, because the old split is becoming less important.

No. A possible "border poll" is a distraction from a creating functioning country, you know with housing, public transport, health care, all those other little details.
Accepting the current reality of NI is realistic, non ideological, politics.
Other than most of Sinn Féin and the remaining other nationalists, it's a pointless distraction form Real Life^TM.

If a border poll were ever called, they'd end up as a party with loads of leaders but no voters.

I rather doubt that, but then I visit NI on business and actually talk to people, so perhaps I have a different perspective.
