I guess it could be argued she took a risk for the team, in that there was a non zero chance the police would interpret the new law in the way trans right activists wanted.

I just peaked into the thread on the other forum I belong to which is devoted to painting Rowling as the devil incarnate, and they're incandescent about it.

She was never in trouble given that the law is in line with wider UK law and vourts have ruled that transphobic speech is protected in the UK.

In Germany however, her latest pronouncements would land her in trouble. The German courts take denial of the victims of the holocaust seriously.

We are communicating through the medium of the written word in the English language.

When we use the wrong word, or use a word wrongly then our communication becomes inefficient and liable to misinterpretation or dismissal.

Weather we like it or knot, when mistakes happen (be they homophobes, miss spelt, just plane rong or whoever) it becomes harder too pass the poster's meaning, and watt could be illegitimate (or Atlee's undressing) points of view get lost in deciduous jalopy.
