Cont: Luton Airport Car Park Fire part II

Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue yesterday issued another press release, to update everyone, even random idiot bean-counters, on their investigation into the Luton Airport Fire.

https://www.bedsfire.gov.uk/news/fire-airport-car-park-started-accidentally

"The vehicle involved was diesel-powered – it was not a mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid or electric vehicle."

Well, that doen't really leave EV-Truthers any wriggle room, does it? There are only two options now: accept that the source of the fire was an ICE, or accuse Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Service of lying.

Given that our only EV-Truther here has;

A) already done the latter, and
B) is laughably unwilling to admit error,

I wiil not be surprised if they go for the latter. Either that or make some spurious, goalpost-shifting claim that this press release is not a true press release.

ETA: A third option - their just pretending that this didn't happen.

It's a game, they might change the rules of this one, or they have others, or they could start a new one. Only time will tell

HA! Hahahahahahahah
ahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

:D

I love the fact that they specifically "it was not a mild hybrid" just to shut up internet posers.

They didn't say the vehicle had no lithium ion battery.

It's like you people can't even read. Nuance!

It’s remarkable that the Fire Department specifically said it was not a hybrid, PHEV, or EV. Why such detailed denials? If it really was a diesel why wouldn’t they just say it was a diesel? That is awfully suspicious. What’s Jenny hiding? Who’s paying her to make such a statement?

So they're saying the diesel car was delivering a consignment of lithium batteries to the airport? I guess it must be that.

But they were illegal lithium batteries bound for a back street conversion garage, that's why they were hidden, taped under the left hand side of the vehicle!!

Have any of the firefighters been given medals to compensate them for not being credited with saving the batteries? Apparently that's a sure sign of a cover-up.

There are several problems with the so called press release.

First of all - the first sentence describes the investigation (and not the fire) as accidental. So obviously this is something put together in great hurry, probably under pressure from someone high up.

Secondly - it does not name the actual vehicle model, nor if the driver or the owner of the vehicle has a history of causing airport car park fires.

And finally - you pretend scientists and faux skeptics can go ahead and jump to conclusions, but anyone that has spent a lifetime understanding how the world really works know that this is only a preliminary report, and will reserve judgement until the full report is out. (And it's not up to the investigator to decide what "full" means - unless the EV mafia is exposed in the next report, it's not "full"... )

That first sentence is a doozy. Maybe its the equivalent of a hostage blinking in Morse code on a video. Jenny is being held at gunpoint.

Jenny's press release doesn't include the chassis number of the vehicle, nor the inside leg measurement of the person who fitted the battery.

If it really was a diesel engine that will have a matching serial number too, stamped on the engine block. Why can't we be told?

Six months in and I'm still trying to land a Jenny from the block gag. It's so close I can smell it.

I suspect someone has decided to temporarily abandon the thread in order to let it die down and do a fringe reset.
