Two Tory Party deputy chairmen and a ministerial aide have resigned to rebel against Rishi Sunak's Rwanda bill.

Deputy chairs Lee Anderson and Brendan Clarke-Smith quit to join about 60 Tory MPs backing an amendment rebels said toughened the immigration legislation.

The government are paying £8 million for official King Charles portraits to hang in schools police stations and council buildings.

Probably the first intelligent thing they've done for a long time.

With the UK economy reeling from Brexit, any injections of cash like this will have to help.

I'm betting that the NHS is still waiting for the extra $350m per week.

In other news, the government actually has more tax money than expected, since the tax thresholds have not been increased for a while, and inflation has been higher than expected, so more workers are paying income tax on higher wages. What do they plan to do with this windfall? More funding for the NHS? Social care? Filling potholes? A pre-election bribe? Answers on a postcard...

Fujitsu has the contract to print the portraits and Michelle Mone to frame them.

Surely Fujitsu should do the framing? They did such a good job for the Post Office and they've proven their frames last ten years, that should be long enough given Brian's age.

Scrap inheritance tax, that is what is required to turn around the disaster that Labour has created, did you know Starmer stoped an asylum seeker being returned to Rwanda?

Army recruitment was outsourced to Capit. They had been targeting a total of 9,813 recruits for this year, however the firm has only attracted around 5,000 since April last year.
They also do recruitment for the navy that is thinking of scrapping ships and paying others in to reserve because of crewing shortages.

The latest Tory tweet, above a poster saying "Are you a terrorist in need of legal advice? Better Call Keir", is
When @RishiSunak sees a group chanting jihad on our streets, he bans them.

Keir Starmer invoices them.

According to the note now attached to it, Starmer did represent Hisb ut-Tahrir (when a barrister, I assume), as DPP he did prosecute them. And there's no evidence he invoiced them.

And the party of Laura Norder still doesn't understand just how Laura makes defence barristers work...
