Merged why the release of names associated with Epstein mean little to absolutely nothing.

To be more specific - The list is people whose name was mentioned during interrogations. But of course people jump to stupid conclusion without even seeing why they were mentioned in the first place.
I mentioned this in the other thread, Barak was mentioned there and people are having a field day with it - but when you look at the actual document the question is "did you have sex with him? answer: no"

But it doesn't matter at all, because people won't actually bother reading or care what the real facts are.

People don't want to learn facts, they just want to strengthen their own personal bias.

Now for the important bit: who on that List killed Epstein and made it look like a suicide?

What we need (and will get) is a Podcast that will go through each name, one per episode, and discuss motive, means and opportunity.

It's just a list of people Epstein knew.
He was an influential millionaire who knew a lot of influential people.
Because someone knew him doesn't mean anything.
Lots of jumping to conclusions.
Epstein was a philanthropist. There's an obvious explanation why non-profits would be interacting with him, e.g. Clinton and Gates. Trump on the other hand was partying with him, and even commented about a shared interest in young women.

I mention this because the Q/MAGA nuts, e.g. Hannity, are hypocritically spinning like tops due to Clinton. But nary a mention of Trump.

Trump banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago for harassing a girl. He helped one of the victims in her lawsuit against Epstein. Trump is clean here.

There's a world of difference between "clean" and turncoating because your buddy is raping children on your own property and you're running out of plausible deniability.

Behind on the discussion, so if someone would be so kind as to give me a summation:

I hear that a few dozen women have accused Epstein of abuse, and Prince Andrew and a French guy/s. Are others being accused, or are the people on The List mostly presumed guilty by association?

Wasn't there supposed to be video surveillance of bedrooms for "insurance"? Did they find video?

It's actually not that kind of list. It's just a list of people who have been mentioned in the trial, in any connection. Doctors who treated some of the victims. Not-associated people whose name came up hypothetically in email conversations. Etc. I'm surprised the judge's name didn't come up. Maybe the judge got their name removed before the list was published.

Honestly, I'm surprised the couple on Epstein's household staff were on the list. If I were them I'd absolutely want my name removed. Maybe they tried and were turned down.

Thanks. I was mixing up this list with Maxwell's alleged little black book.

Re: household staff. Presumably, they would see a lot behind the proverbial closed doors that would be damning, so harder to request anonymity?

I think a lot of people were. I think when the push to get this list published, it was hoped/assumed that the list would include the people in Maxwell's book. It pretty obviously does not.

In fact, I don't even know if the contents of Maxwell's book were even introduced into evidence, in this trial.

I could go either way on this one. On one hand, your guess makes sense. On the other hand, triggering a lynch mob on someone through implied guilt by association seems like a good reason to keep them off the published list. Even if they are accessories to the crimes in question.

1. See post 47.
2. It was Trump's DOJ that cut the inexplicable deal with Epstein.
3. See Trump's positive comments about Maxwell.

Interesting alright, but we need to keep in mind this is a list of people whose names are contained in court documents related to the case... it is NOT the contents of Ghislaine Maxwell's "Little Black Book". That has not been released, and it is never likely to be. The only possibility I see for that to ever be released is at some time during her appeal. If she looks like losing it, she may leverage the book against a sentence reduction. I rate this "possible, but unlikely".

I don't care if it's the little black book specifically, but we really should have public release of who Epstein trafficked his victims to, and unfortunately this doesn't seem to be that list. I don't find it credible that the FBI doesn't know who most of those perps are. But to my knowledge, Maxwell is really the only other person who's faced justice. And that still doesn't sit right with me.

No, it was Alex Acosta who cut that secret deal, in 2008.

Trump later appointed him Secretary of Labor in 2017 (which may be why you're confusing this as a Trump deal), and I think that was a mistake given that the deal had become public by then, but Trump had nothing to do with Epstein's plea deal.

Epstein harassed a girl at Mar-a-Lago, he didn't rape her. And what involvement do you actually think Trump had with Epstein? Do you really think it was ever anything more than rubbing shoulders at rich people events? If so, on what basis?

I see. Thanks.

IIRC, the 14 yo girl went in, was made to strip, and left on only her underwear. That's close enough to rape without splitting hairs. Sexually abused, if you prefer.

Trump was well known to socially cavort with Epstein all over Palm Beach and beyond. They were fixtures of the night life. Hardly limited to a cordial shaking of hands at rich people events.

That's the right wing story. He banned Epstein because they had a falling out over real estate.

Trump's attorney is demanding all those on the list are arrested.

I had a video link but seem to have lost it.
