History Channel - Bob Lazar

Was surprised when my site search didn't turn up anything on this. This morning the History Channel was once again running their documentary/interview with Bob Lazar, supposed former Area 51 employee and engineer on alien spacecraft. Aside from the obivious that it is eye witness testimony, with no supporting evidence, I was just curious if he had been thoroughly debunked yet.

Yeah, Googling turns up stuff fine. I was just more interested in a jumping off point from a knowledgable, skeptic crowd, rather than random links via search engine. Still, good stuff.
 
I am aquanited with Bob Lazar. I've talked to him on the phone a couple times.

My interactions with him arose not from an interest in UFO's, but because he also sells some interesting and rather hard to find things on the web. At the time, I didn't even know his history, other than he was some guy with a cool webstore.

He struck me intelegent but a little nutty. He's basically one of those science-nuts who likes to play around with homebuilt jetengines, tesla coils...that sort of thing.

I have no idea what the degree of his actual experience or training is, or if he's just an advanced tinkerer/nerd.

My opinion....

He does the whole UFO/Area 51 thing, because he likes attention and it helps him sell stuff.

I don't believe it at all myself. I have no idea what his modivations are though.

The link Starrman posted is about the best source for Lazar info if you follow the links on that page.

He has been debunked to death. In brief his educational claims are demonstrably false.
