Number of tickets sold might be true, but ticket offices do much more than just sell actual tickets.

Nothing to do with it being a "local" issue causing grief for many Tory MPs in the home counties and surrounds and they are scrambling for anything to make themselves appeal to the tory heartlands. Several of the passenger associations around here have been making a big thing of the closures, Since this can be done at zero cost to the government (well direct cost) it can only be a "plus" for them.

Lee Cain has an interesting definition of the phrase "skill set" - https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...t-to-lead-during-covid-top-aide-tells-inquiry - saying that BlowJob had the wrong one for being in charge during Covid.

Now, Lee, what, exactly is this "skill set" BlowJob possesses? Buggered if I've seen any evidence of him possessing skills other than spreading manure of the bovine.

I disagree.

He is highly skilled in things that interest him.

Promoting his interests and career.

Today's quote from Cummings on the Cabinet should follow them to their graves and be carved on their headstones!

The most damning thing about Boris Johnson's approach is that when torn between 'letting old people die' and saving the economy, he ****** both of them up.

To quote Simon Kuper's book "Chums"

Johnson’s gift turned out to be for winning office, not doing anything with it.

But even then he's done that by spreading bovine manure rather than any actual skills other than that of generating and spreading said BM.

He also cultivated a particular public image, and cultivated friends.

Nothing of any use to anyone apart from him.

Cummings was asked why he helped install as PM a man he knew to be unfit for office.

He said the alternative was a second referendum on Brexit and a possible Corbyn gov't, so "we decided to roll the dice".
