Cont: Today's Mass Shooting (part 3)

The mass shooting in Chicago, the one with 15 wounded, not the other two, was pulled off by a black man.

An unlicensed Halloween party was hosting a comedian when the shooter was kicked out by security for fighting. He went to his car and retrieved a gun before returning and indiscriminately opening fire into the building.

Comedian "Skin Bone" describes what happened during his set in this video. Lots of foul language and the n-bomb is dropped dozens of times.

Why should their death be irrelevant?

All American shooting deaths are irrelevant, to most Americans at least. They are merely the trivial price to be paid for the rather perverse and unique American concept of "freedom". Better to have many dead citizens than laws to make the country safer.

I support stronger gun laws for most of the USA. A few parts of the USA need their gun laws loosened a bit, IMHO.

Maine has no Red Flag law.

Im sure that will be addressed quickly.

The CNN articie states that Maine has a "yellow flag" law allowing cops to take someone into custody to be assessed. A judge can then order that guns be removed. But what is the point of the law if it is not enforced?

A Red Flag law would be much better.

The only competition is reality versus narrative. The narrative is that white boys with AR-15s commit most of the mass shootings. Reality is the opposite.

The above is narrative. It comes from Portland, Maine city councilwoman Victoria Pelletier who fancies herself a community activist. Completely delusional and a very common belief here in the states. She posted this shortly after the Maine shooting. Mass shootings that involve white boys with AR-15s are relatively uncommon compared to all other mass shootings.

I'll be following up with some reality shortly.
QED. it IS a race competition for you.

1 of at least 2 of the Tampa, Florida shooters has been arrested. Tyrell Stephen Phillips appears to be of mixed race. Videos show that there was a scuffle before one person is shown pulling out a gun and opening fire in the middle of the street that is full of pedestrians.

Why did this apparently mixed race person be allowed have a gun? Which racial component caused him to open fire?

To be clear... :sarcasm:

If you follow the long-term definition that Mother Jones and the DoJ agree with, the vast majority of mass-shootings are done by blancitos.

Yeah, we Americans beleive in indivudual freedom and are reluctant to sacrafice their rights on the altar of "The Common Good".
I think we need stronger gun laws, ..certainly red flag laws and restriction on assulat weapons...but you are really simplifying the issue of at what point do restrictions on indivual liberties in the name of a "safer country" become unreasonable?

Your racism is blatent.

I'd think that the racism of low expectations is really what is bad here. Why is it that lefties feel some groups cannot be held to the same standards as everyone else? And, obviously, by employing these lower standards, you just encourge the high gun homicide rates in those communities.
