I’m not speaking for anyone else, but I certainly don’t see any significance between mass shooting and race. They are an indictment on the US society regardless.

That's the way the second amendment was set up too, with even tighter restrictions, until a bunch of far right Roland Freisler cosplayers decided that a perverted misconstruction of its meaning was the "true" constitutional position.

Suspect in Maine shooting rampage is dead from apparent self-inflicted gunshot, authorities say (CNN, Oct 27, 2023)

I hope that "apparent self-inflicted gunshot" means that there was gunshot residue on his hands. Otherwise, some people will assume that a black dude is still at large.
As for the ones inside some people's heads, remember what they always say about other cases of MPI: The symptoms are real. The pain they feel is not made up.

Already happened, the day after the Maine mass shooting. 5 people were executed in home in what police suspect to be drug related activity.

You know, one of those mass shootings that don't count because…

Why? It makes absolutely no difference to most people whether your mass killings are carried out by people with plaid skin, black skin, slightly lighter "Latino" skin, "Asian" skin and so on, it is the number of them that is the insanity.
 
Another major difference is risk assessment-

  1. I don't belong to a gang.
  2. I don't work for a drug dealer.
  3. I do go to bowling alleys and restaurants.

Come on, it's simple. Get rid of the white males, and overall gun deaths are dropped by a solid half (including suicides). Get rid of black males, and the other half of overall homicides are lopped again. Then we have a nation full of women with some very happy Latinos and Asian men with outstanding mating prospects.

I don't think we can justify this claim.

And it may be besides the point, if it's a copycat behavior not primarily meant to bask in the press coverage.
