A well-placed source stated that TAM5 could be held in Orlando, Florida. The actual location has not been selected yet.

Unlike many of my posts this one is not a joke.

I can do without Vegas for a while. I was a bit tired of the town by then end of TAM3.

I would prefer to see it in Toronto, since that is within driving distance. But I mostly favor Toronto for entertainment reasons. The entertainment includes hearing people from warmer climates complain about cold weather even though you hardly have to step outside in downtown Toronto anymore.

My Canadian brother votes for Toronto.

My husband says don't count on London until you check out the costs! Sure we'd all like to go to London, but with room rates like that!

Brussels is the heart of Europe! Nice place!!!

I'd take Orlando just because it has easy access to a lot of fun stuff to do (besides Disney), and a lot of cheap rooms and flights.

Toronto is nice, maybe in the summer????

California is cool also, but still a LONG flight.

We have to look at room prices.

I think in Orlando or Vegas you can get a sweet deal. London, maybe will price out a lot of us.

There is more then one place and one city in London....

Great if a TAM was held say somewhere like where the start of the Industrial revolution happened.

Although, I'm Canadian, I'm anti-Toronto for TAM.

Canada in January for a convention? Boo-urns. If you're going North, I'd stick with Vancouver or somewhere in that region.

Vegas, Orlando, or Puerto Vallarta are probably the best bets. The Orleans hotel in Vegas is probably good.

ETA: Well, Canada in winter is pretty cool, but TO? You can't ski, snowboard, hike....anything cool to do in the winter is undoable in TO.

damnit. I thought this thread was about rumors started at TAM. I was looking for the gossip.

You all suck.

I'd vote NO to a TAM in Orlando. Not that I despise it, but I've been there several times and I'm just sick of it. I have no desire to go there again.

How about Larry's place?

We New England skeptics think nothing of scheduling stuff at his house without asking him before hand!

What other cities, seriously...

Warm is good in winter. But we need cheap too.

I love Paris, but let's face it, the French and Christopher Hitchens? I'd go to see that, but that's just me.

I would also be against Toronto. It's jsut as much hassle to get to Vegas.

If somewhere cold is in order, why not somewhere with good hills, like Banff?

Please, not Toronto! I have to visit it too often on business trips. There's very little to do there and you'll freeze your ass off, even in May.

That's not true at all! Perhaps you've just been visiting the wrong places in Toronto! It's a very fun city, once you know where to go.

And! You don't "freeze your ass off" in May. Maybe your thin-skinned American ass can't handle a stiff cool breeze. ;)

I'm from Minnesota. Bring it on.

That's what all the Canadians seem to say. A perfect example of context defining one's expectations; I suppose, compared to the rest of the country, it may be a fun city.

I'm not sure that we need to bring my ass into the conversation, but when I was there last May it was about 40 degrees. Again, I guess it's a matter of what you're used to, eh?
