Trump and Jail

Big difference between emotionality and observation of patterns. It's emotionally satisfying to picture Trump behind bars. Not how I've seen the world to work in the last few decades.

It must be sad to live in a world where you only see the negative and are blind to the positive:

The fall of the Soviet Union.
The reunification of Germany.
The freedom of the Baltic States
The Me,Too movement.
The life imprisonment of John Gotti.
The downfall and imprisonment of Harvery Weinstein.
Our first Black POTUS elected and re-elected.
The legalization of same sex marriage.
The convictions and imprisonments of the cops who murdered George Floyd.
Trump lost his bid for re-election by millions of votes.
Hundreds of J6 rioters found guilty of various crimes including sedition/seditious conspiracy.
Trump indicted on almost 100 criminal charges in four different cases.
Giuliani losing his law license and indicted.
Lin Wood voluntarily giving up his law license and retiring.
Sidney Powell indicted.
John Eastman indicted.

...agreed, that must be sad. If you run across such a person, give them a hug for me.

Fine. We can keep doing this loop forever to no end.

As soon as Trump faces anything that a reasonable human would call reasonable negative consequences that are an appropriate response to what he's done and not a feel good victory or something purely symbolic at best let me know.

I'm sure it will happen.... wait for it.... any day now.

He has to travel to Fulton County and get booked. Thats a consequence. Its negative. Its at the least time he can't spend stuffing his face with McDonalds. I think judging by Trumps demeanor this has not been easy on him, its put him under stress, and he is afraid. I think its likely to shorten his life. These are all negative consequences. Does that make it fair that an average person would've already been imprisoned for doing the same? No, but its better than nothing.

ETA: he is also likely to be spending most business days of 2024 in a courtroom.

Call me when it's more than "better than nothing."

I'm not the one who said "Not how I've seen the world to work in the last few decades."

That doesn't mean negative. It means working along different principles.

For instance, I voted for Presiddnt Obama both times, and was proud to do so and happy when he won. It's hard for me to argue in the Stacyhs world where I didn't and could only see the negative or whatever bat **** thing you're on about.

Suffice to say I'm on a neo-Chompskyan way of thinking, rather than l-r or lib- cons. It has nothing to do with positivity or negativity and a lot to do with money movement. .

Problem is extreme pessisimsism has been fashionable among a good deal of Intellectuals (and those who think of themselves as Intellectuals) for a long time."Exisitential Despair" has been the default position for some time.
And now it is coming around to bite them in the butt, since such an attitude encourages a "The sky is falling, and there is nothing we can do about it" attitude.
If things are hopeless, you don't need to make any effort to change things.
Yea, I think a lot of this is just posturing to jusifty not bothering to get off your butt and actually try to do something.

Okey dokey!

You are follower of Noam Chomsky...
And that is why you failmyoung Jedi.

It's just the way some people react to and deal with the world. It really is a form of self-protection. Extremely idealistic people do the same thing. It's always either "We're all doomed" or "Life is just a bowl of cherries" for some people.

I am not. Note the "neo" prefix. Some of his ideas are very good, and I've found them to have surprisingly accurate predictive powers. The '16 election was one major fail.

One nitpick: the link doesn't mention CIPA docs (classified docs), but other secret docs - identities of grand jury witnesses, which may or may not also be covered by CIPA, but if they were covered by CIPA, then why doesn't the article mention that?

However, it's adding up, I admit.

I found out after my post that Judge Cannon canceled the August 25 public CIPA hearing about 4 hours ago.

Trump loves Israel and his Jewish son-in-law, which makes him a target for the AB and other Nazis.

The AB was white supremacist in name only...a money-making gang first, and ideology third or fourth. Did business with gangs of other racial groups and non-race related deals with Sicilian mobsters, biker gangs, etc.

That said, gangs in federal pens are overrated as hell, especially since their glory days were long in the past before modern facilities like ADX Florence. Hollywood crap.

Trump will be fine in prison even alone, but I still think the SS will be accommodated.

But, she also demanded that the prosecution explain why they are using multiple grand juries in different jurisdictions.
That was not a good move on her part. Incompetence explains that.
Perhaps. But as i mentioned, she may have gotten the idea from watching fox news.

If you are getting your ideas of how to run things from a network that just had to pay millions for lying, I think that goes a bit beyond "bad at your job".

It does look that way.
