True or not, the death toll is so high because the man had a gun. Yes, a knife would have been deadly too, and it's possible the number of victims would have been the same. Still I can't help but think had the aggrieved party simply stormed into the place in a rage but otherwise unarmed, there would have been a nasty beating and maybe one death, but not four.

No. The culture of violence in the USA is a culture that is endemic in the whole of American society, across all racial lines. The USA is a violent country, facilitated by their gun laws.

Yes of course but I think the, finer, difficult point to grasp, due to it's unpopular connotations, is that the "culture of violence" is more prevalent in a certain sector of the US population. This seems to be borne out by statistics. Even by dint of the fact that I've replied in this vein makes me racist.

If you genuinely can't see the obvious point that is being made in this particular case then I'd have to say that you are blinded by some other influence acting upon you.

Absolutely, and that was more the intent behind my original post. We can't get anyone else's side of the story because they were all shot and killed. An entire family just wiped out.

9 shot. The original count did not include two area hospital walk-ins. The person arrested was not rapper Timothy "Mozzy" Patterson, but someone who intentionally drove into the crime scene while drunk.

According to police, this is the 12th incident at the "City Nightz" club this year, including a drive-by shooting earlier in May.

Imma guess this club is not a Proud Boys hang out.

ComoFest is the annual Fourth of July celebration for Fort Worth’s Como neighborhood, a historically Black community on the city’s west side. In 2021, eight people were shot and wounded near a car wash following the festival.
