With leadtimes on industrial parts the way they are right now, it would take 2 years just get the turbines.

Looking at liveuamap.com it appears Ukraine has taken more ground on the road to Tokmak. I'd estimate about one third of the distance from where they started. Still not quite up to Russia's first main line of defense though.

Although he got injured some months back (October, he stepped on a butterfly mine) and is rumored to be missing a foot. My impression was that at most, he lost a few toes. Then again foot damage could explain why the dead guy in the trench was wearing sneakers, those might be more comfortable for a guy with a damaged foot.

...and he is known for getting close to the fighting. ...and the Russians in that trench didn't seem to expect to be attacked right then - such that a limpy war reporter with a reputation for getting close the fighting might feel it was safe enough, only to be wrong.

Wargonzo one of the more prominent Russian "milbloggers". If that's him (plausible but I'm not yet convinced), this is quite a coup.

If nothing else, it might mean Russia has to withdraw troops from the front with Ukraine to go deal with this.

Well, assuming this is even legit, there's this line:

After we finished what we started, we will return to the frontline to protect our motherland.

As before, it's not about being against the war, it's about not killing enough Ukrainians fast enough! It's about Wagner not getting ammunition for their own glory. None of this is about anyone being nice guys!

That said, if Wagner does start fighting Russian regulars, will there be sufficient munitions when it's all over to return to the front? Will the front exist?

ETA: probably legit. It's moved out of Twitter and onto CNN rolling that he's accusing Russia of striking one of his camps. Russia denies this, of course.
